  1. Whoa! I just gagged on a pill (my fault, not the sleeves) and almost thew up. OMG!! I SO apologize to anyone if I downplayed their throwing up! It was AWFUL! Now I hurt all over. My heart goes out to all the upset sleeves!
  2. Mine were taken out before i left the hospital. You've had yours in for awhile!
  3. Lol, yeah me too! Nice little ladylike burpies. :-)
  4. I agree w Meseee......take advantage of all the pain meds! Ask for a sleeping pill tonite if you can't sleep.
  5. Do you have access to a heating pad? That sometimes help. Day 2 I wanted to die. I had dry heaves and intense gas in my shoulder, where i also have arthritis. I was in h**l. But......because I read on here what happened with other people i refused to have buyers remorse. I walked and slept. Didnt drink bcs nurses wanted my tummy to settle and I was getting enough fluid IV. Hang in there!
  6. It takes a little time to figure out what your 'signal' is. Mine is, I do a tiny burp. I know, thanks to all the wonderful advice on here, NOT to take another bite after that. I've never slimmed or thrown up. Or should I say, I haven't yet and I hope not to. :-)
  7. OMG! Your post could have been mine!!! I was sleeved 8/21 and my cravings were insane! I wanted a hot dog SO badly and I HATE them! I havent had red or processed meat in over 15 years. You'll get by....now I'm enjoying my fish & healthy food with gusto! :-)
  8. Sister sleevers! Awesome! Talk about a good support system. My advice is do NOT worry about the soft food stage. When you get there, you will be ready. Or you stay on liquids till you are. No biggie. For now you do have to worry about not getting dehydrated. Sip small sips. Try diff liquids at diff temperatures. Some people prefer cold, some warm. And don't lay flat. Many people sleep in a recliner the first few days. Also, you added this post to an older post. That's ok, but you may want to start a new thread so people will see that your info is current. Hugs!! It will get better.
  9. You betcha! I ate out 2x this week. Soup one day, salmon another. MY problem was....and yes people, it's silly....I got bored. I had nothing to do with my hands!! One place had buckets of peanuts so when no one was looking i threw peanuts in a bucket and missed half the time. Yeah, I'm a 51 yr old kid. We all had a good laugh, even the waitstaff, when I got 'caught'. Enjoy life!!
  10. Whoa. Girl, you look HOT!!! Cool shoes too! Love the 'fat girl!!' So true!! Thanks for sharing!
  11. Probably the one and only time a guy will brag about not being 'that big!' Sorry guys....just couldnt resist. :-)
  12. LOL!!! Your dog.....love it!!! Take his pix and put as your avatar. Nothing on there is boring! :-)
  13. It takes me to a bunch of videos. sesame street is the first one. What am i looking for?
  14. Could it be gallbladder related? Something is def wrong. I'd call your surgeon before going back to ER. Someone else here posted this week abt having a UTI & kidney infection. Do a search....unless it was you. :-) Take care of yourself! Time to be pushy w the docs.
  15. Welcome Queen! It's a great site with lots of support!!
  16. Pinky, same here!!! And i love the Olive oil that costco puts out once a year. In the glass bottle with the harvest date. I use that for salads and stuff. The big kirkland plastic bottle i use for cooking things on low heat. Anything else I use the grapeseed for. Sorry, OP...we kinda got off track. I bet you can get some wonderful oils where you are. How are you feeling?
  17. I know!! Now i have something else to add to my dream list!
  18. AND it has a higher burn rate, or whatever that's called. If you heat Olive oil too high it degrades the goodness. Not so w grapeseed oil.
  19. Yep, that's what I've heard!! I measured last night and my measurements haven't changed. But they will. I'm really not uptight about that. I'm not an uptight/anxious person. :-) It will happen when it happens. But....i'll bet my fat is releasing hormones and that's why my head aches. That really seems to be the most logical explanation. Thanks!!
  20. I love my EVOO! I have inflammatory diseases and I really do think it helps. My thinking that the doc wants you to take it to aid in keeping your bowels moving, something the link didn't mention. Not sure why he wants you to take it in soup though? Maybe he was just using that as an example of how to take it? I'm glad your surgery went well!
  21. Cookeezz.....i'm not You Tube savvy....couldn't find the video.
  22. I'm going to combine my responses to all you wonderful people who answered me: No dehydration or caffeine. I am not a coffee drinker, every once in awhile I had a caffeinated cup of tea, and no caffeinated sodas.....so it's not caffeine or withdrawals. It's also not dehydration. I have a disease where my mucous membranes don't produce moisture so I'm always drinking. I even have special permission from my surgeon to drink w food. BUT for someone else who is reading this and has headaches, these are two excellent suggestions. I am getting enough sleep, although I have noticed it is harder to fall asleep. Why IS that? The release of the fat hormones makes sense, but i'm on a stall. Been stalled for 3 weeks. I'm not panicking because I lost 37 pounds in about 4 months, mostly pre-op, so I know my body needs to readjust. Oh, I also am not drinking anything w aspartame. It IS exactly what someone said, a little bothersome headache. Doesn't stop me from doing things, thank goodness, it's just annoying. Thanks everyone! Maybe it's connected to the stall & hormones. Any other ideas are welcome & much appreciated.
