@WildGrits ...LOL...I was thinking the same thing...had a flash to "My 600lb life" when they remove the skin because of that "disease" (can't remember name) and it weighs like 50+ pounds!!!! Talk about WLS!!! But for that type of surgery I would think it's just a few pounds; but would be interesting to know... Also, did your insurance cover any of it?

I didn't know about heating up the Cookies and cream @ betty_s that sounds good...warm is always more satisfying... So I am here to agree with Quest bars...also have had Power Crunch which have a lighter texture if you find the Quest too much...usually 1/2 a Quest bar at a time fills you up... but check with your Dr or NUT (as suggested) to make sure you can have them ... they may want you to wait or a certain brand...

@Mikee57 the Premier Protein shakes from InsureNutrition list 1g of sugar for the 11 fl oz shake... 30g protein! 160 calories ....

@pdb45214 someone else had mentioned Chia Seeds to me...do you just eat them like nuts or mix them in something?

2 weeks is usually the norm...not 2 months...I'd call and ask...mine was COMPLETELY liquid for 2 weeks, no chewable food... they may want you on a restricted diet for 2 months...but liquid; I'd say there is a miscommunication there.

yes, I'd say that is probably what's happening... check with your doctor... the pressure is, most likely, from gas... so you need to make sure you are getting in your fluids and walking it off... good luck

I have bought a BUNCH of flavors online as you can't find them in many places... cheaper than MIO or anything like that even if you paid the full price of $7.99 for a large bottle. Bed, Bath, and Beyond has some Skinny Girl syrups...the pomegrante was good in my iced tea ... Enjoy... they are really helpful in cooking/baking as well as drinking... The World According to Eggface uses them a lot for baking

Absolutely... many of us have applied...you may also qualify for scar cream and Vitamins... they are an advertiser on this site as well... no problems, I've been getting it delivered for 5 months now... (it's a 6 month approval)... it's wonderful!!! They send the order to your doctor and your insurance company...all you have to do is fill in the blanks Good luck!

@JustWatchMe I did the same thing...kept one pair of BIG PANTY jeans (LOL) ... just as a reminder of how far I've come...and where I NEVER want to be again!

I use Premier Protein...I like the taste...but also I get it FREE thru my insurance and InsureNutrition.com... you can fill out the application and see if you qualify for it as well...

Recently I noticed that I could pull down my jeans without unzipping (again ...) so off to Goodwill I went, and got 4 pairs for under $20...it's just so annoying that we have to try on every pair as each manufacturer is different...but down 2 more sizes in JEANS!!

I HATE paying for water...we have a purified water system at home, so if we travel in the car, I always pack, at least, a full gallon of the stuff... harder to do when you travel by other means...

@Bandista again...separated at birth! I LOVE working in my garden, we recently moved in to this house and there was not a single plant/flower/shrub/TREE in the yard... I have built it out, edged/mulched/planted ... ... it will be at least a year before it starts looking full and plush...I love gardening...if my RA was better, I'd love to do that full time.... or anything creative...it would be nice being able to make money doing something you enjoy... I'd love to take a workshop to learn to paint...never tried that, really...

agree with PDX...it's a journey (as we all say)... there will be hills and valleys... please don't weigh yourself everyday, you'll drive yourself crazy! Once a week...same time keep following the program and it WILL happen...let it work for you You are doing fine...keep on going !

@Denise73 that was just a "me" thing with the Water...not everyone, of course...and my husband SELLS water purification systems...so how sad it that! ... we have good, clean water...and I LOVED it, but since the surgery, I find I just can't get into drinking plain water anymore... I thought it was weird as I have not heard anyone else that was drinking a lot of water before say they can't stand the "taste" of water now...just me! LOL

Great post! I was also amazed how easily the liquid diet went for me...after the initial "detox" it was smooth sailing...a little bit of a headache on day 3...but no biggie. I did not miss my diet coke (TOTALLY ADDICTED), or fried foods/junk... I still don't go "there"... if someone had told me my favorite snack would be raw almonds, I would have told them they are CRAY - CRAY - CRAZY!!! PS...don't forget to fill out the form at InsureNutrition.com to see if you qualify for FREE Protein shakes via your insurance...also a wonderful scar cream and possibly Vitamins too!

@JCsMamaBear they told me the Vitamins would only be one month...but I have been getting them every month! Unfortunately, I don't care for them...fortunately, my sister had a gastic bypass done years ago and she likes them... so she gets them from me win/win! the scar cream is wonderful stuff! light/non-greasy/no smell (at least for me...my friend says she thinks hers smells medicinal) ... it has helped with my hyterectomy scar BIG time! It's no longer a big, red zipper on my belly...softer shade of pink-so far
