Hi! I also know how you feel. I am 35 yrs young with a 4yr old and a 10 month old. I was so nervous but knew that it was for the best to have the surgery. I am 2 weeks post op and am doing very good. I want to be there for my girls and with this surgery i know that i will be able to keep up with them and have an active life. All surgeries are scary, but just know that in the long run it will benefit both you and your children by being a health mommy.

September 11Th Kaiser - Dr. Zane
Thanks! I am having my surgery at the McAllen Heart Hospital (TX). I wasn't put on a pre-op diet, rather they gave me some guidelines to try to follow until i was approved. I am going tomorrow to pick up my pre-registration papers and i will find out if about the fasting time before surgery. I think it will be the same...normal eating and 24 hours. So we will see how it goes!

Any Ups,usps, Or Other Del. Employees Out There?
Hi! I was wondering if there any delivery employees out there who have had the sleeve? I am still waiting for approval but am thinking about the time off from work. If anyone out there has had the surgery, how long did you take off from work and was it enough time? Our jobs are more physical than others and i am just worried about going back too soon and getting injured. Please let me know how your experience was. Thanks!

Hello! Newbie To Site
Hello! I am a thirty-five year old married mommy with two beautiful young daughters. I have been overweight my whole life...of course interwoven throughout the years have been those "miraculous" diets that had me lose a lot(sometimes!) of weight. Then I would gain it all back, and then some. I have just reached that point where I am like "NO MORE!" so therefore I have decided to do the gastric sleeve. I did a lot of research on the types of weight loss surgeries and the sleeve seemed to be the best fit for me.This surgery is for me, my health, my sanity, and also my family. I am still in the process of getting approved by my insurance (bcbs) and have just submitted what i believe is all the requirements/labs needed. I have my fingers crossed for approval and I guess it is just a waiting game for now. So wish me luck and I hope to be writing again within a few weeks that all is well and surgery is a GO!
