  6. My surgery date was 9/11 with starting weight at 272. I am at 247 today....Yea!! as long as there is progress, then it is all good!
  7. Hi! I also know how you feel. I am 35 yrs young with a 4yr old and a 10 month old. I was so nervous but knew that it was for the best to have the surgery. I am 2 weeks post op and am doing very good. I want to be there for my girls and with this surgery i know that i will be able to keep up with them and have an active life. All surgeries are scary, but just know that in the long run it will benefit both you and your children by being a health mommy.

  11. Hello! i have bcbs federal and i had wait three months before my surgery. i had to see a nutritionist once a month for the three months, get pychiatric approval (1 appointment only), and all my lab work. It really went by fast and wasnt too bad.i used the 3 months to do more research on the sleeve. I just had my surgery on Tues, Sept. 11th and was released from hospital yesterday. Am doing pretty good so far. Good luck with your journey to getting the sleeve!

  19. Thanks! I am having my surgery at the McAllen Heart Hospital (TX). I wasn't put on a pre-op diet, rather they gave me some guidelines to try to follow until i was approved. I am going tomorrow to pick up my pre-registration papers and i will find out if about the fasting time before surgery. I think it will be the same...normal eating and 24 hours. So we will see how it goes!
  20. Hi! I am also scheduled for Sept. 11. I just found out today and am still in shock. Hope everyone has a great surgery and lets keep each other posted on our progress. Good luck and best wishes!
