  1. I wonder if it is your gallbladder. Could be.
  2. Don't be afraid. You are still early out and things need to heal. You will be reassured. Reflux is a problem for me too. The first couple of weeks are difficult. I still worry about everything and I am 7 weeks out. You will be ok.
  3. Very interesting. If it resolves after eating it might be a new hunger signal. I have been trying to figure mine out. Do the pains come and go? Are they unbearable?
  4. I had tie cycles in January and my face reminds me of when I was 16.
  5. Might be reflux. Are you taking something for it? Like a ppi?
  6. Mine feels like a tight discomfort in the chest with a burp or hiccup. Tonight it took me 30 minutes to eat barbecue chicken (shredded and loaded with sauce). I had about 3.5oz of it. I feel satisfied not full. I don't want to cause real pain but I feel like I need to know it can happen. Thoughts?
  7. How far along post op are you? That's what I am aiming for. Not over full. I would describe my pain in the same way. More uncomfortable than pain and last about 2 minutes.
  8. I think mine is light chest pain with hiccups about a minute later. I know I'm full then. About 2 minutes later my stomach feels full. What's yours?
  9. I take reglan not because my stomach empties slow but because of reflux. Try that and then demand your surgeon do the test!
  10. I skipped eating at a Mexican restaurant with friends because of the food. I ate my tuna. ????????????????
  11. Today my co-workers had a potluck and I had two meatballs. Do you all know how hard it is to be around food? I'm not even hungry but everything smelled delicious. I am not sure I am eating enough. I wasn't full per se but my chest had a dull ache and I got a bit burpie/hiccupie. I don't know if that's full or not. Next time, in bringing soup.
  12. How do you do thy and not hurt?
  13. Hey everyone, 5 weeks out today. Just having a hard time slowing down. I have the app that times you but I am realizing I have always eaten fast. How slow is slow? I am eating soft/puréed's. I'm happy with that for now. Not in a hurry to move faster than that.
  14. I have done this very thing self imposed. I believe it is to slow us down so we learn to eat. I have been on liquids/puréed for about 4 weeks and will stay on puree's for a minute. No hurry at all because I eat too fast.
  15. And it doesn't have to reach the throat to cause trouble. Mine doesn't.
  16. My doc said it was acid and prescribed 80mg of Protonic and reglan 4x a day. I was also given Ativan to relax the muscle. I have just now finally found some relief. I had surgery in Mexico and had to go to the ER Twice to get help. Now I have a local doc who will see me and follow my care now that they know my sleeve was done very well. Go figure. Acid can do this.
  17. I felt the exact same way and still do but less so 4 weeks out. It's normal, you are not a lone. Pm me if you need support.
  18. Same. Chucked it up to heart burn. Guess I will just have to live with it. @@swtnss what was his suggestion for that?
  19. Anyone else have esophageal spasms?
  20. I went to the ER and had a CT scan. Everything is great. Dr. Thinks I am having esophageal spasms and prescribed reglan and Ativan. I will see my doc on the 28th but will check in with him tomorrow. I believe that's what is happening. My reflux is not reaching my throat so it's hard for me to understand. I am glad I went to the ER. If this is a minor complication I can work through it prayerfully.
  21. Hello, I was sleeves on December 19th and so far have done well. My only problem is what I believe to be random spasms. I noticed them at the early on. I don't get them when I eat but they tend to just come on throughout the day. They occur at the top of my stomach just below the breastbone. It feels like a tightening and then a release. I can feel when they are coming and then can hear the popping release sound. They don't hurt but can be uncomfortable. I am taking 40mg of Protonix 2x a day. I am getting nervous. It's funny, they don't feel related to my stomach at all. They feel like they are connected to my esophagus. Any ideas? My dr. Appointment is on the 28 of January.
