Currently my plan is to have surgery on Tuesday and go back to work the following Monday if at all possible. I am an office manager so I really just do desk work all day. I am hoping I will be able to handle that. I am a busy body so hanging at home alone will be super hard for me. Good luck to you guys!!!

One week, sleeved on monday back to work the next monday.

Hello everyone . My surgery was on August 14th done by Dr. James Harris in Wilmington NC. How everybody doing ?

You are mourning the end of a lifelong relationship with food. This is a grieving period. If you are like most moms, you are feeling selfish for doing something for yourself so there is an added level of guilt which you are overcompensating for by being mad at yourself. Subconsciously you are defending yourself from your family from what you think they think about you. You need to stop, breath, rest and remember that it is ok to have these feelings but it is not ok to lash out at them. It will get better but do not be afraid to ask for help if you find the emotions do not go away. Professional counseling can do wonders. In the meantime, we are here for you. Glad you voiced.

I do the okios I think that's how it's spelled I have plain, blueberry and carmel. It has like 11 g of sugar and 13 g of carbs and 10 g of Protein. My nut as well as my physician told me it was ok . I brought the individual (4 oz serving) and it was Awesome:) my sleeve had no problems digesting it and an hour later I was able to get 16 oz of Water down . This was the first meal ive had since my surgery on 8/14. Each physician and NUT may vary in your diet and when you should eat what. As a nurse I always reccomend you follow the specific orders of you person physician. Dr James Harris in Wilmington has you on purée diet two weeks out if you tolerating full liquid well.

Seriously guys I'm about 3 seconds from balling like I'm 3 . I swear I don't want to feel this way about my children .....they are the reason I did the surgery becuase I want to live as long and be as healthy as I canbe for there kids. My seven year old just told me to go lay down and he would give my 3 year old a bath in my bathroom and he did it ... Got him out and dressed him and everything ....( ok the tears have arrived). I can't wait for October so that the hard part will be memories and I can get my mother of the year award back ! And it back to work for me tomorrow .....lord give me strength!!!!

No my doc didn't have me do a preop diet because I had lost 14 pounds two months prior to surgery with diet and exercise. I went in at 235.

His father came and got him and took him upstairs to his bed . When he came back down I cried in his arms for a few minutes and I feel better. Everybody is asleep and everything is ready for tomorrow I just felt my anxiety go from 10 to about 3 . This is a great forum , I really apperciate all the encouragement. Now it's time for me to settle myself for the evening. Everybody have a great night and I hope the scales are kind to everyone in the morning ...lol

If anyone is in the full liquids phase and having a hard time try Greek Yogurt. I had 4 oz of stoneyfields blueberry Greek yogurt and I had no issues. This is the only thing ive really enjoyed in five days . Hope this helps someone

I'm excited about it but I wasn't sure if this was the normal loosing curve. I'm really having issue's keeping up I'm still on the full liquid diet and I know I'm not getting enought Water or Protein. It's physically impossible for me to drink 68 ounces of water, but I do get in about 36 ounces. I drink 29 grams of protein and I do that in 3 seperate incriments. I do the best I can
