  1. Hi everyone! Had my PCP appointment today. I asked for a referral for bariatric surgery and he put in a referral for it' date=' and he referred me for the health classes (I'm assuming and HOPING the Options program?) he says its a process, which I know.

Anyhow, just wondering how long it took for them to call you to get everything going? He said they would be in touch with me. I'm getting my bloodwork done tomorrow as he said it would be good to have that done and over with.

I would highly recommend you follow up in couple weeks if you don't hear anything my referral got "misplaced" some how! But I got my initial referral in July and started options in September. Sleeved January. Good luck!!!!!

  2. You are beautiful' date=' so full of life. Would you mind telling us what you eat on a daily basis?

Thank you so much!! As for food when I first started post op I drank two shakes a day in four sittings and then had a tiny dinner. as I progressed I started to have the two shakes but one for Breakfast one for lunch and then a high Protein dinner such as turkey or chicken or eggs. I only add a little seasoning and no carbs really. I'm a rut eater so what I currently do is every day I have a shake for Breakfast, half a Protein Bar for a snack, lunch some Protein almost always grilled chicken, another snack being the other half of a Protein Bar then dinner a Turkey patty with a little cheese and avocado. Tons a Water through out the day. Hope that helps!

  3. Wow!! You have done a wonderful job and hard work has def paid off for you! You look AMAZING!! Any tips you can share with us about your success?!?!

Thanks for everyone's wonderful comments! Feels great changing my life! Um for tips I would say the biggest thing is following what your surgeon says to the T. I made sure (and still do) that I get all my Protein and Water in daily. I don't eat hardly any carbs and I make sure to exercise few days a week at least. I think sometimes we worry about over eating due to old habit and then don't get enough calories.... IMO I think it slows WL down. Over all have fun doing it. This is our new "normal" so go with it and begin enjoying life!

  4. You look great! And dont think of them as awkward silences but more like pauses in conversation. Take that time to think of more things to ask or maybe you won't even have them. When I first started dating my husband we had AlOT of pauses in conversation! He is VERY quiet when getting to know some one. So I just kinda would bring up stuff about myself and that would initiate more conversation and then I grew comfortable with the pauses.... Sorry ramble! But you can sooo see the difference in your photos and you look great! Good luck on your date and dating!
