So for a week I have been watching my intake at 1200 calories. Two protein shakes a day two snacks and a small dinner. Walked a couple days... And not a pound lost. This is so frustrating. I have to complete a 12 week pre op program with kaiser and in the durAtion loose 30lbs or at the end delay my surgery till I do.... But how could I so drastically change my diet and not loose a pound! I know it's only been a week but I expected something.... Alright I'm done... Sent from my iPhone using VST

Ok soooo I weighed in at my class required by kaiser today and I lost 8lbs since last Thursday!!! I don't have my own scale (yet) and used my moms when I has post this... Hers must not work well... Yay!! Thanks for your encouragement... I am how ever going to continue a more stringent intake/outtake... I still have to loose 22 lbs before end of classes... Sent from my iPhone using VST

No surg date yet. They said after the 12 weeks the refer us to one of the places we can go to and then they schedule it. The medical director said it could be as soon as two weeks after te classes so I'm looking at december or latest January Sent from my iPhone using VST

Ya the time line is long but I think in the end you will be glad. They really want to prepare you to succeed post op. The classes do not cost. So far I have only had to pay my co- pay to see my pcp and my co-pay for the consult with the PA. All the labs and the other things have been no cost. Make sure to check you benefits they can be different. If u signed up at kp.org they will have an explanation of them or you can call member services. Oh and I have a 500$ inpatient stay co-pay for when I have the actual surgery... Sent from my iPhone using VST

There is another girl on her I have talked to and I think she is in Fontana. I don't think she has to do the 12 week class... But good luck! So far I have had a great experience through Kaiser. Thanks all of you... I guess I just need to focus more... Less in and more exercise... But it's still frustrating to go from one end of the spectrum to the other for a week and see no change... I will not miss not being able to wear my wedding ring because it's too small and I refuse to size it larger. 3. I will not miss how ugly I feel. 4. I love my in laws but at this point have noooo intention of telling them. My MIL and I have. Have different view points and when she disagrees can sometimes go to extremes. She once hid all the car keys to all their cars so my husband who was my Boyfriend at the time couldn't go get vaccinated for school because she doesn't believe in them. I was told no soda and mainly due to that fact that it can easily burn a whole in the stomach since post op it has less protective lining. Scared me off soda and I'm still pre op! Sent from my iPhone using VST

I weigh 317. Don't have a date yet but I have to loose 10%. I have kaiser so I'm hoping to loose it during the 12 week classes we have to take... I've already changed to a structured shake/food plan... Sent from my iPhone using VST

Your family is still normal!!! She may just be under alot of stress or having several issues hit at once.... My husbands cousin recently had to be held at a psych facility. No history prior of such issues and sense has been doing really well. She just had alot of things come up at once and she didn't know how to handle it all. Hi I don't want to scare you but I work for a major hospital and review psych cases all the time. My opinion and only my opinion is to call the police department she is a threat to her self and should be evaluated for grave disability. You would hate to not act and something happen. Again today I'm reminded yet again one of the many reasons I want to have VSG. I went today to get my hair cut... I start my 12 week pre-op this upcoming Thursday and want an all body/mind approach to change in my life. So with that thought I wanted to get my hair done and restart doing it everyday instead of putting it up as I have been. I want to start doing my make up every morning and change other things as well.... Soooo.... The little jacket robe thing they put on me had to be squeezed over my arms the chair had to be pumped a million time to get me to the desired height for cutting my hair and chair was far from comfortable.... But on the bright side I wa glad knowing soon these things would change... And I can't wait. Sent from my iPhone using VST
