  1. Appetizer route sounds like the best option. Guess I should start looking at the menus for the restaurants we will be going to.
  2. I'm stubborn. My work schedule only allows me to go 1st week of November (I refuse to go during the summer) and I dont want to put off the surgery so I'm doing both within 39 days of each other. I figure if worst comes to worst, I can rent a scooter with all the money I'm saving on food.! Lol
  3. I will be traveling to the happiest place on earth a meer 39 days after surgery. Doc already said it would be okay to fly but took out vacation insurance just in case. Has anyone had any experience with dining in Disney so soon after surgery. I spoke with their dining department today and they basically said if my family wants to visit a buffet (character dining) I have to pay the full price even though I won't be able to eat much. She said that I can ask the manager at the time if I could pay the child's cost but they don't have to grant it. I hate to make my kids miss out on this experience or me miss out on them at the experience. Any advice on Disney dining would be appreciated. We have a suite with a fridge so we are ordering food for the room, milk for kiddies, sugar free ice pops, water, etc! Thanks for your help.
  4. Oh crud! You can't sleep on your side after surgery? I'm screwed! If I sleep flat on my back, I wake up with severe back pain!
  5. Bunch of good stuff on sale there. Including blender bottles and that hair, nail, and skin stuff .
  6. I am a music teacher in NJ and teach in 3 schools. Told the teachers in one school I was thinking about it just because another teacher had it done. (not doing it because of her) Didn't like the comments so I am not telling them I'm doing it. Not telling anyone at my one school, all skinny minis there and they wouldn't understand. (one was complaining of being a size 2 instead of 0 after having a baby. Oh I feel so bad for you! Not!) have one teacher to talk to about it in my third school because she had bypass a few years ago. going to tell the nurse at my schools just I case I pass out or something, someone knows what to tell the paramedics! Lol. Just feel someone should know. I'm taking time off from school because they couldn't get me in during the summer and I dont want to wait for the next break. I asked my surgeons office to remove the bariatric part from my excuse note and just leave the general surgery in the title!
  7. Don't forget the pants with packets and the lighter color material inside the pocket shows because of how the pants are stretching. this is just a bad move on the clothing manufacturer. Come on folks! You are making plus size clothing! They are going to stretch! Lol
  8. I sooooo hope my back pain goes away after this surgery. My back hurts so much that I don't even enjoy sleeping. And I love to sleep. Wake up every morning with pain, physical therapy doesn't even do anything .
  9. She's a bit of a horder so no room there! Lol don't want my kids getting lost! I can decide on Thursday. Would still get stuck with night potty duty, the guest room is in the basement and the rest of the bedrooms on main living level.
  10. My hospital doesn't put a catheter in. They specifically said it at this surgeons team meeting I had to attend. I don't like the idea of them either but had one with both my c- sections and it wasn't as bad as it sounds.
  11. Your going to laugh! 3.5 and 5!
  12. I have surgery on Tuesday and I think my husband has to work Thursday night. ( he is a paramedic) so I have the two kids on my own. He offered to ask his mother to come and help. She s a nice lady but I really don't enjoy her company so I'm hoping to be able to go it alone. Nuts, I know!
  13. I was told a small pillow to hold against your stomach when getting up and walking.
  14. I'm looking forward to my night in the hospital. Means I don't have to get up to take anybody potty! Lol
  15. The store I was at today was $5 something a bottle! Almost flipped when I got home and read the receipt.
  16. Foe anyone who likes the Isopure drinks in the glass bottles, GNC has them on special for BOGO 50% off. Not sure how long it will last though. Passion Fruit is pretty decent.
  17. There is a reason they call a doctors office a "practice". Lol
