I don't have to take anything tonight. Report time 8am. Surgery 10am. Had to shower with special soap though. Ready as I'll ever be. Will have my iPad with so I can update and see how every bodies doing. Here we go!

Thought a beer sounded good! Lol I wasnt all morning because I was super busy but now that it is lunch time I'm a big time anxious. By this time tomorrow I will be in recovery. I keep reading this thread by a woman screen name Iggychic and she is going through some horrible complications. I understand that is the exception, not the rule but it still scares me. I so hope I am doing the right thing. If for any reason I have to out of work more than 25 days, I'm screwed because I dont have disability insurance and I only have 25 sick days saved up. Went to Walgreens this morning. No spray, no liquid generic Tylenol but got gas ex strips. Yesterday got some tums. I know I'm going to be scared to death tomorrow. Last time I felt like this was the day i moved and it was the worst experience. Total feeling of impending doom. Enough negative! I keep looking at before and after shots and can't wait to be an after! Down 20 lbs as of last night! Fat pants are a bit loose! Woo hoo! Anyone going to be on here tomorrow during recovery? I will be as soon as I am able.

Ok, little freaky, in 24 hours I will be leaving for the hospital! Yikes!

Haven't even given it a thought. Hospital says don't bring cell phones, etc but my hubby is dropping me off and going home with the kids so I have to be able to call people to let them know I'm ok. I was told to bring a small pillow to hold against your stomach while walking and getting up. Plus I'm a baby and I always bring my own pillow to sleep on.

Wow that was quick. I probably could of had it already but my first appt was beginning of July and then I was away at a grad class for a week then 2 weeks down the shore. So 2nd surgeon appt was not till August. Got out of the sleep study and cardiac stuff. Just met with the doctors and got signed off of those. Plus could of been a week earlier if my pcp didnt drop the ball and sent her letter in when she said she would.

I feel like a big baby but I'm afraid to tell my mommy. I am totally into getting sleeved but I'm afraid that she is going to be dissapointed and/or try and talk me out of it. She has weight problems too and doesn't want to consider surgery. She won't even look into getting her knees done. I am 39 years old and I want to be able to go outside and play with my kids and fit on the roller coasters next summer. Should I tell her now or wait till afterward? She knows how to lay on a mean guilt trip. My sister is having some other medical issues and she won't tell our mother either and I know my mom is hurt by this. Any advice would be appreciated.

Nah, He just wants me to get back into my "cute ass" jeans as He calls them! Lol

Have to go to Walgreens tomorrow anyway, OK, will add biotin tomorrow

Ugh. Six months. I'm afraid to ask him questions. He jumped at me because He thought I was drinking soda at my last pre-op appointment. I actually had a large bottle of water with me. He was nice at the first 2 appointments and at my EGD but not as nice at the last appointment. hopefully it was just a bad day. Or He was mad I only lost 9 of the required 12lbs. Appointment was 3 weeks prior to surgery so I don't know what the big deal.

Hello iPrincess. I feel like we are the only two going in on the 25th. This is a great question and I would also like to know. So far I have a bunch of different protein shakes/drinks, sugar fee jello ready to go, I guess that's it really. I'm going to the store tomorrow to get gas-ex strips which I hear are a life saver. Hopefully we will get some good advice on here!

I finally told my mother today and my surgery is Tuesday! She took it a lot better than I expected. She tried to talk me into he band instead (like I could show up at he hospital and say, by the way, I want to be banded instead!) long start short, she doesn't want me to get it done but she understands why I want to do it. So relieved!

Gosh, you all are making me more nervous. I go in Tuesday surgery. I will so hate myself if I have serious complications as this really is elective for me. I so hope I am making the right decision.

That's what I was told too. Poor form on Disney's part. Really surprises me too with how guest friendly they try to be. Guess only to guests who can eat their expensive food. Malready have a grocery order list going. Please let me know if anyone can think of anything else I should get. Remember, only have a small fridge. -whole milk for kiddies - skim fr me for Protein shakes - string cheese - case of h2o so we don't have to buy in parks - sugar free Popsicles for midnight snacks! Hope they fit in freezer! I will be 39 days out at time of trip. Thanks all.
