There is a bigger issue going on here then food...Something in your head has not been fixed....What is driving you to abuse yourself like this...Only you know the answer hun!
food addiction is a horrible roller coast ride that can have horrible life threatening side effects...You know that because you did the hardest thing anyone can do....You had this surgery....
Now and only now you have to start listening to your body and your sleeve...Sounds silly....But your body sends you signals to stop eating......you are eating because of an emotional reason....
Measure out your 1 cup and place it beautifully on your plate and only eat that..Slow down and chew a lot..Put your fork down after each small bite and feel the food going down and you will realize you are being fed.....Give your brain enough time to tell you you have eaten enough....If you are hungry a hour later eat some fruit or a few nuts....
This is not a low calorie diet..This is a tool we all chose to get to give us the time to work out our food addictions...You have kept a lot off....It is a battle for sure...Hope you are getting in all your Water....
There are better days a head...grab them and run with them...This is your turn to be the person inside that really wants to come out...Brush the dust off, get back on the horse and ride like the wind....Stop sabotaging yourself for only the reasons you know...Take the time to find them and if you need to talk about it...I would be happy to help where I can....send me a message if you so desire!
I am only 2 months a head of you and paid a huge price for my surgery.....I work at it every day and so does everyone else....It is your turn to get where you want to be....You can do this .....K

Hi. You need to stop, take a deep breath and regroup yourself. A 60lb lost is fantastic, why are you throwing that away, you have done great so far. This surgery is not a cure all, it is a tool, a tool that you use in conjunction with eating healthy and exercising. We all fall off the band wagon at times, it's human, but then we get right back on. Think about those 60lbs, think about all you have gone thru with the surgery...you don't want that to all be for nothing. So you ate this stuff and you didn't feel anything, if you keep eating this, then your stomach will stretch, don't keep pushing it. Do you want to gain those lbs back? You are an inspiration to so many people, wow 60lbs lost, just think about that. Don't let your old habits take over your life again, you can stop now and get back on track...I believe in you and so do others.

The point of the sleeve is to "help" you limit food intake. It won't (in most cases) make you sick throw up or dump, if you eat the wrong things.
The weight loss and KEEPING that weight off is still entirely in our hands. My sleeve does not jump out of my stomach and slap the crap out of my hands. The fact of the matter I can still eat junk AND it goes down easier than the dense Protein.
I am the one in control.
I guess the only thing I would ask is why are you testing your limits?

I had to come back to this thread, GT, and post my confession for I have been v. v. bad...
Yesterday? I ate about 2500 calories -- though I admit it could be more than that as I may have lost count... LOL. Seriously! It was a day full of naughty one-offs, such as full-fat, full-sugar chocolate jogurt, a packet of peanut M&Ms, steak tartare and fries, copious white wine, ice cream with whip cream... I mean, I am talking B-A-D!!! Just wanted you to know you're not the only naughty girl here...
I'm not fasting today, but I am trying to be more virtuous to make up for that bit of wildness. It was my monthly "book club" meeting with three of my local besties...we sometimes actually read a book and talk about it too.
ETA: MFP has already well chided me, telling me if I keep eating like that, I'll weigh half kilo more six weeks from now. Oy, THAT is probably true, even though their predictions of my STARVING TO DEATH and weighing 62 in six weeks are never even remotely accurate...

Per all the research I have done regarding the sleeve a person can lose 70 percent of their excess weight within the first year to 18 months and it can take up to 2 years to lose 100 percent. I just think sometimes people get so down on themselves about slow losses and it can have a negative impact on ones journey. Also I find that too many people compare themselves to others on the forum and we are all so different. I am not trying to make you feel bad, but just bringing a little reality that not everyone loses at the same rate.

Finally hit ONEderland yesterday!!! I hope all of my sleeve twins are doing well.
    One month before surgery:
    4 months after surgery:
(I have a kazoo in my mouth. I was kazoo'ing "Happy Birthday" to my friend while she was taking the photo!)
And I'll be on an airplane next month for the first time since surgery. I'm scared, nervous, apprehensive, excited, and all of those other emotions - but not about the flight. I can't wait to see how well I fit (or don't ?!?!?) in the seat now!!!

Hey all. I did not have my surgery in GA but I had it in FL. I live in Gainesville, GA but this Atlanta post is the closest I've found right now. I'm 6.5 months out and 83 pounds down. From 353 to 270. I am 5'3". I feel I have a pretty decent grip on keeping the weight loss consistent. If anyone wants a buddy/mentor, please msg me. We can either email or we can text if you prefer. I love talking about the sleeve!!

    Lolly,
Girl! There are sharks on these boards and when they see you talking about pizza, doritos, etc.. they smell the blood in the Water and you are toast!! As for me, I had this surgery so I could live like a normal person, eating normal portions and end my dieting, food obsession nightmare. I am not living my life on Protein Shakes. That said, I still have to have a Protein Shake everyday to get all my Protein in because I am only 2 months out. I am a lucky one who has a sleeve of steel and have only barfed once and I think I ate too fast and didn't chew well enough. I tolerate everything. I ate a very small piece of thin crust delight pizza from papa murphys at about 6 weeks. I was full. It was great, I used to eat 4-5 pieces to feel full before.

    So I am 15 months post-op.....
Just thought I would share my experiences and what life is like for me as a sleever in maintenance. I made my weight loss goal ( a very modest goal in fact...) at about 8 months out. So I have maintained my weight loss with ease for the last 7 months. I chose a higher goal than many sleevers for several reasons....
    1.) easier to maintain
2.) no lose skin. That's right people, I have no lose skin, my butt is still round and the girls are still perky!
3.) I am normal, curvy healthy and average. That's all I ever wanted!
4.) I wear normal sizes. I am in a 12 and as a nurse I wear medium scrub tops and large bottoms. I LOVE BEING NORMAL. (preop I was in 2x and 24s)
I don't really care that my BMI is not "normal" it never will be, I am happy and healthy. My surgeon and primary agree I am in a great spot.
So what do I eat? a typical day is about 2000 calories. I was eating 1400 a day for weight loss.... I got up to 1000 cals as soon as I could post op so I wouldn't tank my metabolism. I don't eat low fat anything, I don't drink diet anything, no sugar free toxic crap. I eat small and healthy amounts everything. I have a vanilla latte everyday.I eat cheese at least twice a day. I eat lots of fruit and veggies and of course Protein. I go out to eat, have dessert a few times per week. I eat like a healthy, normal person.
I still have started a real workout routine at the gym... I have a fairly physical job as a nurse and I take the dog for walks all the time, I plan to workout at the gym this winter for health purposes.
All in all my point is.... I am so happy I was sleeved!!
below is a before and after.....:-)

I am two weeks post op. I take in 900 - 1200 calories a day. My concern is going in to starvation mode and reducing my already slow matabolism. So I will drink an extra shake to add calories, if needs be. I want to loose 2 lbs per week to reduce skin sagging. I'm not sure if I am off base on this but I have my post op appointment on Thurs. So hopefully, I'll get more info then.
