  1. What exactly have you heard about Dr. Luttrell?
  2. I was banded by Dr. Luttrell in May 2007. Other than minor problems after surgery I have no trouble at all. I'm down 90 pounds and am going to get my next fill in August. Dr. Luttrell's surgery center is a professional surgery center and I don't think you have anything to worry about. Good Luck!
  3. Dr. Luttrell is very easy to talk to. He is rather busy and sometimes I feel like I'm being rushed. But overall I am happy with him. The complications I had had nothing to do with Dr. Luttrell. My stomach swelled when the band was put on and I had difficulty keeping even liquids down for a couple of weeks. I'm fine now and I do NOT regret having the surgery at all.
  4. Hi! I'm from Arkansas and I used Dr. Rex Luttrell/Rivercrest Surgery Center. Have been banded since 5/5 and have lost 48 pounds! This is just because I DID have complications after surgery but I would really want someone close if I were you. I don't know Dr. Luttrell's stand on it, but alot of doctors won't work on you unless they have done the surgery themselves. Good Luck!!
  5. I had the exact same problems. Was banded on 5-4 and did not eat or drink until 5-10. Was put on steriods and tagamet and it did help but I have found only your body's healing will truly help. Look at it this way, it's a quick way to get started. With my pre op diet and the complications I have lost 48 pounds! Keep your chin up because it WILL get better.
