I am doing better no solids yet but, the pnemonia is better the meds for the blood clot are stabilizing and I'm finally out of the hospital.

I will be honest, my first day - the day of surgery - was horrible for me. I had a lot of pain and nausea. I did vomit a lot. I guess I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia. The second day was more of the same and I remember thinking man this sucks. The nausea was the worst, also they don't use pain pumps. They do IV pain med's and the schedule was every 4 hours. Sometimes I would wake up in the middle of the night and they would tell me "oh you have another hour before you can have more pain medicine". That did not go over well with me at all.
Anyhow, again, overall I am very happy. I feel great and am thankful to be in such good shape after going through a major surgery just a few days ago.

I had to go to my obgyn today & weighed while there. I was expecting a gain due to anesthesia etc, but I'm down 14 lbs since starting my liquid diet 8/21!!! I started at 213, at hospital I was just over 208, now 199!!! happy dance!!!

The liquid, pureed and soft food stages suck balls. I consider it penance for being a fatso and something you just have to endure. And I mean that in the nicest way possible .
You'll come out a stronger person.

Still no poo either but, I do get to leave the hospital today.

Pnemonia cleared up on blood thinners the next 6 months but I am leaving the hospital 21lbs lighter and get to start enjoying my new life vs. being held hostage at Mercy! Yay!!!

I want to go to my reunion instead of finding a excuse not to due to me not being comfortable with my weight.

Go on a cruise
Be able to eat at fancy restaurant and not have to eat taco bell on the way home because, I'm starving.
Wear a swimsuit without being embarrassed
Shop at a store that has no plus sizes.

No leak!!! Blood clot I left arm and mild pnemonia in left lung. The pnemonia symptoms if I laid in my back it hurt to breathe. If I inhale deeply I cough.

Definitely groggy but, the pain wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and still very sore and the gas hurts quite a bit but I can feel like a champ and I lost 10 pounds morning so that Pre-Op diet this past week really helped with some pre-weight-loss.

Congrats! Keeping fingers,toes,eyes, and legs crossed.....LOL praying everything goes well
