I can't wait to join you ladies also. I have only lost 5# since I started in Dec. Will be so glad to finally get a surgery date hopefully end of May early June

I never understand why people lie about the surgery.. I am flat out honest when people ask me how I lost weight , I don't sugar coat anything . If they don't like it that's there problem not mine. One of my best friends has lost over 100 pounds with the surgery it's been a couple years and she still continues to lie to people ! I just don't get it . I'm proud of my new sleeve and tell everyone that asks . I think it's more of a burden on someone's life to constantly be worrying and trying to cover up how they really lost the weight . Seems like it would just be easier to tell the truth.

I told people the truth, but i'm not a good liar and I just don't feel right lying. I also have a few other girls at work who had it done and look amazing, everyone was pretty supportive of the one girl and there was some talk that the other girl was not big enough. She was about 195 I believe but only 4'11", so every time I hear someone say something I'm honest and say hey, you don't know what it's like and that is a lot of extra weight for such a tiny frame and a lot of times people take a second and think about it and start to get it. I have had people ask me why I did it and I am blunt, I was over 300 lbs (which a lot of people didn't know) and I couldn't breathe and was sick for most of the past year. I want to live for me and I am really not too concerned about what others think in general. I know that the most important people in my life are supportive and that is what I need. Congrats!!! I'm 12 days postop and I've lost 21 lbs!! It's so weird to see 199 on the scale. I haven't been below 200 in about 6 years!! Wonderful feeling!

Call to follow up with your doctor's office. Push them toile sure nothing falls thru the cracks! Good luck!!!!

By the way I lost the most weight the first month.

I "only" have 70 lbs to loose. I know since i have less to loose I will loose slower. I'm wondering how much can I expect to loose the first month and how long has it taken others to make it to a 70 lbs loss goal.
