    Protein

    60-70g daily
  2. I look forward to putting my bra on the regular way... Not feeling anxiety about whether I'll fit in a restaurant booth... Not feeling like everyone is staring at me all the time... Actually enjoying the fitting room again... Inspiring family members to get their weight under control... Buying the coupe version of my car... Wearing skirts and dresses to work without fear of my weird lumps poking through... Going to places that have arena/stadium seating, comfortably... Attempting to walk in heels... Not feeling that thigh tightness when I have to hold my leg up while getting a pedicure... I'm sure there's more, but that's what immediately comes to mind
  3. The person who was with me said I was out of our room for 1 hour...including the operation and time in whatever the recovery room before the actual hospital room is

    Sleevers over 300lbs?

I was 387.6 on the day of my surgery (6/18) and am down 21 pounds in a little under 2 weeks. Pleased!

Nanny for a 6 month old

My surgeon limited me to lifting 5 lbs the first week post op...then increasing by 5 lbs every week following

    pre op diet

I had to do 3 week pre op as well...mine was completely full liquid with no meals allowed. It was HARD!!!! To be honest, I was far from perfect and was TERRIFIED that my surgeon was going to tell me my liver was too big for him to operate. When I woke up and saw that everything went like it was supposed to, I was BEYOND grateful!

    I wish I knew...

I didn't vomit at all...no nausea and only the slightest discomfort...I was very pleasantly surprised!

That's tough to answer...I've seen a lot of really encouraging stats regarding short term loss, but am trying so hard not to compare my journey to others.
  9. Likewise! I've lost 21 lbs since surgery on June 18th & don't notice ANYTHING! My mom says she can tell...but I feel pretty sure she's just being nice LOL

    March 7, 2015! SO EXCITED!

2 days before my surgery & I'm having to reschedule...literally in tears
  11. So glad I'm not the only one! I prepared for the pre op diet weeks before I actually had to start, but as soon as it officially started I fell off the wagon! I'm bad about taking one bite of something and then just counting the whole day as "ruined" and then eating pretty much what I want. I've been on it for 2 weeks and have only had 6 days of doing it the "right" way. So scared I'm not shrinking my liver enough. I got some new Protein shakes that I really like, so I'm hoping to truly make this last week of preop count
  12. Pre-op has been way more difficult than I'd imagined it would be I'm usually pretty disciplined, but I've been having a really hard time with this. My surgeon requires 3 weeks of full liquids (no salads or anything). Only 1 more week!

    Best Protein shakes?

For SOME reason, they aren't too popular here, but I like the high protein chocolate Slim Fast shakes. They have 20g of protein and are fairly tasty cold. As far as powders, I haven't found one that has the right combo of nutrients and decent taste...and I've tried a lot!
