  1. oh, just checked out the website - they also have a line or organic waffles that seems to be vegan as well... Target didn't have those!
  2. I fuond frozen waffles that are VEGAN and gluten free, if anyone cares.. Got them at Target, for under $2. 6 waffles. Brand is Vans All Natural. (Welcome to Van's Foods. Home of Van's Gourmet Waffles, Belgian Waffles, Blueberry Waffles and much more.) Says " Wheat Free" and "original" really big on the front. They are free of trans fat, cholesterol, eggs and dairy. Per 2 Waffles: 189 calories, 5 gm fat, 390 sodium, 23 carbs, 5 Fiber, 4 Protein. Just thought I'd share. Also, have you ever read the ingredients to the Boca, MorningStar, or gardenBurger varieties of 'burgers' and their other products?? MANY of them include eggs and dairy.
  3. I saw that he did that to a few threads and was worried! Lol. I hate 'change' that wasn't initiated by ME. haha!
  4. I am trying to go Vegan, which isn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be, but we'll see how long it lasts... anyway, so i was reaeding the ingrediants on many o the Boca, MorningStar, and Gardenburger varietis and MANY of them use milk and eggs in their products. I was really surprised. So, I found a few vegan friendsly ones and bought them, in the Boca and GardenBurger brands. We'll see how they fare... As for the Sun Dried Tomatoes - Oh my! I LOVE them! Macaroni Grill has this great grilled chicken/bow tie pasta/sun dried tomatoes/fetuccini cause pasta bowl that is to die for! (Not that I can eat it now, trying to be vegan and all...but I can remember how it tastes!) Thanks!! AGain this moring (3 days in a row!) I am below 300, at 299.6, so I am thrilled. Hoping to never see the 300s again!! I have been wavering on wether or not to cancel my gym membership. I don't go as often as I should anymore... I have been working out at home (exercise ball is my new friend!) and I walk 8 flights of stairs at work, up and down, about 2-3 times a day... when it is warmer out I LOVE walking, and have a 5 mile trail I do... and as soon as I get my income tax money back and it gets warer I am going to buy a bicycle and plan on making that my main form of exercise... but I think I should still keep my gym membership for weight training and those 'rainy' days... the membership only costs me $20 a month, and is open 24hours a day... Sigh... Agreed that an Mp3 player with GOOOOD music goes a LONG way!
  5. Everyone is doing good. Just had my Protein shake. Today is my day off work, so I got to sleep in until 10am, and laid in bed reading my book until about 1045 before my cats protested and insisted that I get up to feed them! So, here I sit, catching up on everything LBT and sipping my vanilla soy banana Protein Shake. Super yum! Towards the later hours yeaterday I was feeling a bit anxious/moody which happens when my blood glucose levels drop. (Not diabetic, but hypoglycemic... low blood sugar is miserable!!) So I had 1 butterscotch candy, and drank a bottle of Water. And that was like 10pm, so I went to bed. I have no idea how many calorie or carbs are in 1 butterscotch... I suppose I should look it up...
  6. A Vegetarian does not eat anything with a face. Which is why they can still drink milk, eat cheese, eggs... Mostly because these things didn't kill the animal... unless you count chicken embryos as living, therefor now dead... Hmmm...
  7. Yay for hell on Earth!
  8. because the WW site cannot tell you how many calories you are burning...how many steps you're taking...
  9. Yeah, I kinda figured. It just struck me as odd initially. Once I'd re-read it I was like 'oh yeah, I'm a retard.'
  10. Yeah, O2B, I think we all just have to work with what is working for us! Lol. When I quit losing weight doing what I do now, I will mix it up. It's ALL about keeping your body guessing.
  11. Thanks Wombat! I'm totally working on it! Its nice to se the scale MOOOOOOVING again!
  12. Are you serious? I've NEVER heard this before... and GRANTED, I am NEW to this lifestyle, but I do not believe you are correct, it is more like what BG said in her post. Someone asked what to eat... There are TONS of foods you can eat! Basically it is about replacing the fat (flesh) with FLAVOR. There are hundreds of vegetarian and vegan recipe books out there. I'm looking at a few on AMazon and might just buy one or two. I'm not a big fruit and veg eater, but I am definatly trying new things now. Like they say in the book "You cannot keep eating the same shit and expect to get skinny." How true is that?
  13. OK... don't hate ME here... but I just HAD to quote my favorite book "Skinny Bitch" here: "coffee, whether regular or decaf, is highly acidic. Acidic foods cause your body to produce fat cells, in order to keep the acid away from your organs. (Please do not link this acidic issue to citrus and other fruits. We discuss this in deapth later on page 38.) So coffee equals fat cells." Lol. Of course, I've never been a coffee drinker... I like the occational (a few times a year) Frappuccino from Starbucks, but still... ANYWAY... I have done great so far! I have had 2 Protein shakes, an apple (cause I"ll go crazy if I don't CHEW something, and fruit is natural carbs vs. the manipulated kind in breads, etc) 20oz Crystal light, and about 64oz Water.
  14. Lol. Yes. OREO is a naughty naughty 4letter word! Congrats on the loss!!! Thats great!
  15. Veggie chili = fucking awesome... so awesome that my sinuses are clear. Haha. My roommate about cried whenI made him try a bite. Of course I did puree a bell pepper, a jalapeno pepper, 1/2 onion, and some organic garlic... then added that to the chili. And then there was the cayanne, hot chili powder, cumin...etc. I freaking LOVED it though. I made a huge pot of it, only ate 1 cup (beans are filling!) so I have the rest poured out into 2-cup bowls... 4 of them. I froze 2. I'll be eating this stuff for a while... As for twoterville... I was down to 298.8 this morning. I LOVE it! I'm soooo glad to see those weights with a '3' gone FOREVER!
  16. BG! You found me. Lol. Anna - Yeah, the book is very good, but like BG said, its got lots of bad words. It also talks alot about the stuff (chemicals) that the FDA allows into our food and beverages, and stuff that the USDA overlooks that gets into out foods. It goes through what happens in a slaughterhouse. Etc... It's a short book, so an easy read. If nothing else, click on the link in my initial post, it will take you to the Amazon site and you can brouse through many pages there.
  17. Too cute Stef! Thanks!
  18. Anyone here read the book [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Skinny-Bitch-Kim-Barnouin/dp/0762424931/ref=pd_sim_b_img_1]'Skinny Bitch'[/ame] or the follow-up [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Skinny-Bitch-Kitch-Kick-Ass-Recipes/dp/0762431067]'Skinny Bitch in the Kitch'[/ame]? These books have totally changed how I veiw food, and I am now vegetarian... working on Vegan status. And I'm buying organic foods when available. I'm also putting forth an effort to read ALL food labels... It's amazing to me how many of the 'veggie' foods (like Boca and MorningStar and GardenBurger) are NOT Vegan! Most of their products use milk, egg, and cheese! There are good totally meatless 'veggie burger' items out there... it's all about reading ingrediants and "trusting no one" as they say in the books. Anyone have anymore good Vegan books or cookbooks you'd like to recommend?
  19. Thanks J! BG - I'm making a hella huge pot of very spicy vegan chili... I'll let you know how it goes. Lol.
  20. THanks all for the congrats! I just couldn't BELIEVE it! I stood there looking at the numbers on the scale until they faded off. The only real reason I hopped on a 2nd time was to see it again, which is when it said 301. Lol. I'll try it again in the morning and see what it says then!! O2B - No protein shakes?!?! Lol. I don't think I can live without them anymore. I totally rely on them in the mornings, cause I'm so tight in the mornings... actually, if I make them thick like a malt (lots of ice!) I have trouble with them going down. Its a sad sad thing to be driving down the road sliming on a freaking protein shake!! Target has those big exercise balls on sale for only $9. I bought one. Already did my first workout with it - BLOWING IT UP! It comes with a foot pump.. I"m exhausted!
  21. Just wanted to share here too... as of this morning I'm in freaking TWOtervill!! 299.3 baby!
