  1. Wow JC! That sucks!! HOpe it gets better and starts acting the way it's supposed to! BG & J... girls! Must we discuss LUBE?? Ha. Seriously though, at my hospital they have now locked the lube up (it comes in lil packets, like ketchup) because we were going through it so quickly that they think someone is stealing it. Haha. Its a big joke as to who is the lube theif!
  2. Holy heck guys!! Thats amazing! I need to get my burn to look like that again!
  3. Yesterday I had my 2 protein shakes, about 250 cals each. Drank approx 70oz water... at 10pm I was about to chew my arm off! I know I should have just gone to bed, but I was restless... My roommate was cooking french fries in the oven and I could smell them. I was rabid by the time they were done and ate the tiniest crumb of one... seriously small... It was like heaven! lol. Makes me soooo glad that my surgeon only required a 2 day liquid diet, vs some who seem to make you go on a 2 week liquid diet. I would have fallen off for sure! Anyway, scale read me at 295 this morning, so I'll take it!
  4. Thanks BigBaby! I chose that weight cause that is when I'll be out of the Morbid and Severe obesity and will have officially entered "Obese". Lol.

  6. I did my taxes yesterday afternoon! Too funny. I am getting a lil over $1000 back, gotta take care of some bills... hopefully there will be enough left to get a 'starter' bike, I really am excited to ride! I don't think I've been on a bike since I was about 12 or 13?!?!!!
  7. Hey, a loss is a loss girlfriend!! 1 pound is great!
  8. OK, yeah, I didn't read the part where you mentino the daily plate site. Sorry. But yeah, watch where your calories, protein, carbs, etc come from. Exercise. Could be that your body is just taking time to adjust.
  9. I eat close to 100 gm protein a day, and it has not hindered my wt loss at all... You need protein to be sure you are feeding your muscles. Have you tried logging your food for a full day (or longer) to see what you are eating and what foods your calories are coming from? I just mean that, obviously, 1000 calories of Oreos isn't the same as 1000 calories of apples... does that make sense?
  10. Lol. My general practioner wanted me to start fish oil pills, even after i told her abot my band! I was like 'were you even listening to me?' Haha. So yeah, no fish oil for me.
  11. I agree. My weight has been coming off again too. I felt like I was on a plateau since early Dec, but I'm sure it's more like I had just been eating shit foods. Lol.
  12. I think there should be a lap band dating website! Lol. Hey, they have a dating site for every other issue... why not lap band?!?
  13. OK - ignore that first link... use THIS ONE: SUZZZIE's SparkPage - Losing it!.
  14. I'm too lazy to go back and see who all has signed up with sparkpeople.com... Well, add me as your friend if you have. Yes, I'm 12 years old, and I'm begging for friends. SUZZZIE's SparkPage - Losing it!.
  15. Damn, I guess I could have left my page link, huh? SUZZZIE's SparkPage - Losing it!.
  16. I'm too lazy to go back and see if anyone else has signed up with sparkpeople.com, I know TX has... anyone else? Well, add me as your friend if you have. Yes, I'm 12 years old, and I'm begging for friends.
  17. OK all... add me add me... SUZZZIE's SparkPage - Losing it!.
  18. I log my food on bodybuggs site, but I might try the sparkpeople thing. Actually, I'd started one right after surgery, but never went back to it. Lol.
  19. Hey Wasa. Yeah, I know that they don't claim to be Vegan, I was just surprized about it, and figured I'd post it in case anyone else wanted to know. As for teh slaughter houses, I think it is just one short chapter. They didn't dwell on it too long at all... and good thing too cause I don't think I could have handled it. I even skipped a paragraph or two the first time through, but when I skimmed the book a few days ago, I did read it. So sad...
  20. Hey... I do take MUCH smaller bites than I used to. I think I used to try to shovel everything in as fast as I could, mealtime was a race... Now I take time to cut up my food and try to take smaller bites, though they are probably still 'too big' according to the 'bandster rules'... I do as you do thouh, chew well and swollow in bits.
  21. We are so close ladies... just a bit longer!
  22. Lol. I totally understand!! As a nurse nothing grosses me out, except snot. ha!
  23. I agree! NO ONE in my family or at work knows about my surgery (though most of my friensd DO know) and when I eat only about 1/4 what I used to eat I just tell people the truth: that I am watching what I eat, learning to chew slowly and appreciate the flavor of food. I used to feel like a failure if my plate wasn't 'clean' at the end of the meal... I grew up with the whole 'Clean Plate Club' mentality... and it now annoys the CRAP out of me to see my friends and siblings teaching this same damaging behavior to their kids...buts that another rant all together. I also tip more now, because I spend less on my meal, and I think overall I just ENJOY dining out more than I used to...
  24. Lol BG. I was amazed to find vegan waffles. I haven't tried them yet, cause I'm doing a 2 day 'say no to carbs' challenge (except fruit!) But I plan on having one in the morning!
  25. Oh my Ghost! Yes, you should eat something if you feel that badly! thats why i have to have an apple or something during the day.
