  1. I am not much on sweet stuff so i take plain greek yogurt and add stuff like parmesan cheese and salt and pepper, dried ranch dressing, salsa verde, mix it in with chilli sauce and it makes a yummy protein supplement and tastes naughty like real sour cream.
  2. I go for my post op appt. The 12th and that is on my list of questions. Probably doesn't weigh that much but I want to know how big was the section removed. I will let u know when i get the answer.
  3. You will do great especially now that you feel better. I already have way more energy but I was also a heavy drinker and I quit drinking in June. That dropped me 17 lbs the first 2 weeks and I also think that my stomach was so used to straight liquor that is why i have such a strong stomach now. I never got sick unless I really tied one on and then I never vomited.

    Im So Depressed!

I was sleeved on the 23rd. This morning I had a tiny omelet and a few bites of banana yogurt and lunch was about a half dollar sized hamburger with pickle, a little lettuce and onion. Yummy and I am full and feel great. I know I am pushing it a little but my doc said the only way to know if I tolerate it is try it. So far I have never been nauseous or vomited. I started with greek yogurt with grated parmesan cheese and some dry ranch dressing. Sometimes i add some salsa verde and refried black beans (so good). I also found a canned chilli with only 7 grams of fat and 17 grams of protein. I can't eat enough to get all the protein but it is good with a teaspoon of plain greek yogurt which adds some protein as well. Don't know if this fits your tastes or how much you can tolerate but I hope it helps. Also check out eggface.com for good recipes and ideas.

    Milkshake?

I think it us fine to have a few bites of whatever you like. Some it is sweets and others hamburgers or whatever but keep experimenting to recreate that something into a healthy version. I like mostly healthy stuff but my weakness was portions. That can make anything unhealthy. I just had a hamburger about the size of a half dollar. I am full and happy. I do not feel deprived at all, now I wish I was able to have some radishes but too soon to try those yet. I have also found that greek yogurt is good in so many things and it tastes indulgent. Mix a little grated cheese ( I use parmesan) and some dried ranch dressing with some chicken if you are at that stage ( I have used baby food meats) and some pepper. I enjoy it. This is really good in the mushy food stage.
  8. By day 6 or 7 i started greek yogurt with some sugar free jelly or just salted or ranch seasoning sprinkled on it. Yummy

    Milkshake?

The ability to apologize is a huge character strength. Not many people have that trait.
  12. Also over fresh spinach or cooked cabbage is good. I am 12 days out and nothing has disagreed withe yet. Been mushing everything and have had some chicken, ground beef, and pork in small amounts and chewed to a mush. I love my sleeve. I do not feel like i am misding anything except a margarita...lol

    Milkshake?

I think you and your puppy are beautiful and I wish you the best. Take care of you.
  14. That sounds terrible. I am 12 days out and never been nauseous thank god. My doc told me that it does happen to some people but they do eventually get over that hump. I hope you do soon because then you will feel great. You made it thru pregnancy you will make it thru this and the new you will be born.

    Milkshake?

Sometimes people are well intended but lose the message in their delivery. You can be nice and constructive. Probably more constructive in the kind approach. Just sayin.

    Milkshake?

Lots of opinions flying. You can make a lowfat low sugar milk shake and make it taste as good as one with fat and sugar. None of my business but try looking on eggface.com. Lots of good recipes and the girl that posts believes in enjoying what you eat. She is 3 yrs out and went from a size 28 to a size 4.

    Gout!

Now that I am post op the gout is from hell. I have not had an attack like this in many years. It laughs at cherry juice. On alpurinol and steroids. If this doesn't work I may need to have my foot removed.

    Fever Post Op

I am hoping they will give me something. I know steroids will help and are easier on the stomach. But I would be willing to deal with diarrhea at this point. It feels like I broke my foot.
  23. Was sleeved the 23rd. I have been coughing up alot of stuff since ingot home Friday. The doctor put me on an antibiotic today but I am still a little worried. My temp is 99.5. This coupled with the fact I have a hurricane heading right at me is stressing me out. Anyone else have respiratory iss use after surgery?

    Fever Post Op

Fever gone and cough almost gone. I have lost 10lbs this week and now I have gout... been taking apple cider vinegar pills and cherry juice and about 50- 60 oz of water a day and still I have a huge right foot. If that would go away I would be great.
