  1. Lol silly phylly, I can't wait to hear about how things progress for you! You sound so fun. Good luck!
  2. Thats why I love this place. everyone is going through the same things and you guys know just what to say. I am so looking forward to actually wanting to go on vacation.
  3. Some of my close friends and most of my immediate family know what I'm having done, but I'm not sure who else I should tell. My family is scattered all over the U.S. , but we all try to see each other at least once a year. I'm feeling self conscious about showing up to a reunion a hundred pounds lighter and trying to explain it and why I never said anything. Also, some of the people I work with know, and I'm caught between wanting people to mind their own business and just wanting to tell everyone so I don't get asked "what diet are you doing?" A hundred times a day. I'm being really defensive about this surgery, I don't know why. It just sucks that the results are so outward and obvious that everyones going to notice, and you really can't blame people for being curious. I want to keep it private but you really can't.
  4. Lol it cracks me up how excited I get for people I don't know! Good luck, keep us up to date!
  5. Just got back from a short vacation in port huron, and if nothing else the trip made me a little less anxious about the upcoming surgery. I was reminded why I want to get this weight off, thats for sure. I was hot as hell, couldn't keep up with anybody, had sore legs from walking in the sand, was self conscious on the beach and in front of all my skinny cousins, and couldn't dance at the wedding cuz I was to sore from all the other activity. Couldn't hardly sleep either. My nervousness about having this done has turned into impatience. I want to get this going, everyones success stories on here have me so hopeful. So hoping it works well for me, I want next summer to be fun!
  6. Congrats by the way, you look great!
  7. They have sample seats at the front of alot of the rides now so you can try them out before you stand in line, so not as embarrassing if you don't fit!
  8. Just trying to find some peeps close to me!
  9. Oh wow. It appears I become quite chatty when nervous lol. please forgive all the books I'm sure I'll be writing on here
  10. Thank you guys so much! I've never done any kind of forum or message board or anything before so it's super cool how many people responded. Red, youre exactly right, it's the permanence of it thats freaking me out I think. Cuz if it's wrong, it's wrong forever. Yikes. I think about my sister alot too though.she and I have always been the big ones in our family, and I almost feel kinda guilty that she'll have to be "the fat one" now, as she put it. shes def not making me feel guilty, thats all me. Jesus. This is bringing out way more baggage than I thought. I'm gonna need therapy lol. I am def going to keep involved here while this whole thing happens, I already kinda feel better talking about it. Laters!
  11. Everything is together finally and I'm scheduled for my sleeve surgery on the 28th of next month. I am beyond nervous. Things that are making me anxious: am I making the right decision, what if I don't lose as much as I need/want to, what if something happens, what if I'm miserable for the rest of my life, what if I lose a bunch of weight and turn into some kind of crazy bar *****....what if what if what if. Arrrg! Someone lie to me and tell everything is gonna be fine!
