You aren't alone! I feel that way too!
I think the first month or two is the hardest. I am almost 6 months out and things are much better. I'm losing about 3 pounds a week and it adds up quick. Keep your head up, it will get easier.

I can eat anything I have the sleeve of steel! However, I try to avoid all the carbs I can which is the hardest part of the whole surgery for me.

I have been so bummed about Thanksgiving but like you say it's a marathon not a race. I've lost 85 pounds since May, 30 pre surg and 55 post op. Surgery on July 31 So in reality I guess I'm doing good, although I think I'm losing slow. I'm in a 16 and love it. One day at a time...

I was sleeved on July 31, I have lost a total of 70 pounds! 40 pounds post op and 30 pounds pre op. Lovin it.!

How far out are you?

Today i woke up and weighted myself and hit 299 lbs. I haven't been this light since my late 20's. I have lost 159 lbs since nov 2 2011 on that day i weighted 458. So i feel great I run 3 mi every morning 5 days a week. Sometimes I miss food. But i went from 6xl shirt to 2xl' date=' pants waist 58 to a 46, not bad. I dont regret anything I love my sleeve. I have post a before and after pic. Good luck to evryone.[/quote']That is awesome! You are a inspiration!

Just curious.do you think that your hormones are worse after the vsg?
Not really, I ALWAYS get very *itchy and emotional right before I start.

I agree! I had all the hormones making me a raging witch though...

I had my surgery July 31 and you?Me too! I'm sure I seen you walking the hall then. I had my 13 year old daughter walking with me. How are you doing so far? How much have you lost? I gained 10 pounds the day of surgery from gasses and such. I'm at 18 as of today.

You guys will do great. The first 4 days can be rough I was sleeved on 7/31 but I do not regret it for one minute! I gained 10 pounds the day of surgery and as of yesterday I had lost it and yesterday I lost 5 pounds in one day!! It's amazing!! Best thing I have ever done. I will be thinking of both of you!!

Every doc is different, mine allows 3 meals a day no snacking also.

I was down there today for my psych eval. I should have paid you a visit! :-)Aaron have you attended a support meeting yet? What did you think of Keller? I really liked him. Have they gave you a surgery date yet? My first appt was June 25 and had surgery on July 31 so mine went by really quick because I was self pay.

Best wishes! I'm seeing Dr. Broussard at WeightWise. It's a great place! That's awesome! They are great here. I got out of surgery about 3:30pm. I've been up walking and trying to get my fluids in that I need to leave tomorrow. The Popsicles are going doing the best. I've had 3 lol!! Things are going great and all my worries were for nothing. So glad I did this!!

Those darn carbs are the devil! I am almost 6 months po and I find myself eating them then I get control for several days and before I know it I'm slipping into old habits and have to kick myself in the rear. It's a never ending battle but I WILL win it!
