  1. Thanks for sharing! That is very encouraging!
  2. Oh, this is very encouraging!! Our last round I was having to take 400units of gonal-f each night and boy did that get expensive!!! RE said that after weight loss, it probably won't take that much medicine : ) I'm also diabetic and can't wait to get rid of that monster! It is the other reason I really wanted this surgery (actually there are soooo many reasons to do it).
  3. Wow Karen, sounds like we are in this for similar reasons ; ) Do you know how long you have to wait before you can try?
  4. Great question! I have PCOS and even laser treatments didn't get rid of my excess hair! Hoping this surgery will help with ovulation. My reproductive endocrinologist is actually the one that recommended the surgery. I'd love to hear stories from others with PCOS!
  5. I have wondered this too. Thank you Tonibugg, I've had my gallbladder removed so that is a great frame of reference...not so scared now.
  6. Well said lunabella! And Johnathan, I feel like you...I wish it was tomorrow! At least you have a date, I'm still waiting by the phone : )
  7. I have a lot of samples, but just got the nerve to try one and... whew that was bad! I think I'll go get some premier : )
  8. I just tried my first protein shake...Chike chocolate bliss. OMG, I don't know if I'll be able to do this! It literally made me gag!!!
  9. Mine was supportive and encouraging, BUT...getting him to fill out the monthly weigh in's and send them to the surgeon has been like pulling teeth! I have had to beg and cry. I think there was a major miscommunication issue between pcp and surgeon and I think it has been rectified. Hoping for a call with a surgery date sometime this week!
