  1. I did nothing more than walking the first few months after being sleeved. After a few months I jogged 30 min 2xs a week. I didn't get serious about exercise until August/September.
  2. I have one to add. Not sure how to take it. Lol! My boss always remarks on something "other" than my weight like, "is that a new sweater" "is that new perfume you are wearing" "oh, did you do your hair differently?". It is so bizarre. I just want to yell, "it's okay, I lost 100 lbs, I know I look different!".
  3. I'm up 2 lbs also, I had gotten to 146 before Xmas but am solidly at 148 (it's not water weight!). I am amazed at how fast and easy it is to put weight back on. I joined the Valentine's day challenge and hope to get these two pounds plus four more off. Fingers-crossed because my loss has crawled to a snail's pace over the last 2 months. Keep on moving Feb sleevers!
  4. New Year's Eve last year and now:
  5. Reporting for duty! CW 148 Goal 142
  6. You look amazing! Your hard work shows. Great job!
  7. Thanks Ribearty! These last few pounds are hard! I'm thinking of low carbing it and upping the fluids for a few weeks to see if that helps. I'll keep everyone posted. Happy New Year!
  8. Checking in a day early. Still 148, I got up to 151 last week (heart attack!) so happy to have most of the holiday gain off . Ready to join the Vday challenge and do this already! Happy New Years all.
  9. Yes! Several friends and family have said it. One from a bit of envy- I'm losing, she's gaining. My mom also seems concerned. Said I needed to stop 40 pounds ago! She is heavy and I had been overweight my entire life so I don't think she has a realistic eye about what a healthy weight is. I am not skinny at 147-149 lbs. I still have belly fat but obviously look and feel better than before. Below is a pic from yesterday, I think I look average. As far as not being able stop, regain is easy. I am up 2 lbs from Xmas. :-( Good for you in staying with your decision.
  10. I started at about your weight and 10 months later, I wish too skinny was my problem. I still need to lose the last 10-15 lbs and it is a b!tch. I am working very hard to lose it, the weight slows with time. I think education may help. Can you take one or both to a Dr's appt? Let the pros explain why this is right for you.
  11. I love this question; it gets me thinking. My first goal is to get to goal (140) by my 1 yr surgiversary (Feb. 20). Next I want to hit my ultimate goal of 135 by May 30. I also want to run two 5ks- no set dates yet. Lastly, I want to maintain my loss sucessfully for 6 months so I can get a plastics consult.
  12. Regular exercise is an immense help in improving your shape, especially strength training. I workout at home to Jillian Michael's dvds as well as lift hand weights at home and have a coupke step up boxes. For cardio, I downloaded the C25k app on my phone.
  13. My wrists are a lot smaller. I can take most of my bracelets off without unclasping them. Got a bracelet from the hubs for Xmas and it slides to the middle of my forearm. It is 7.5 inches. We are debating on if it is too big and needing to return it.
  14. I'm too far out to suffer through shakes again. I will probably do a version of 5:2.
  15. Same as you, I'm up 2 lbs. Probably half is real, half is water. Back on the eating wagon tomorrow. Silver lining, I did attempt to exercise yesterday, only 20 minutes but better than nada and back on my regular workout schedule today.
  16. Been a bad girl but enjoyed it. 148.5 today. Will start course correcting today. Back on the wagon full-force tomorrow.
  17. 16.5 miles down, 1.5 miles to goal. On week 8 of C25K looking forward to finishing. Not sure I want to do more (C210K).
  18. Dr. Eslami and his team are great. Good luck.
  19. I'm in the same spot as you. I don't want to lose my running ability and stamina however I have yet to find real enjoyment in running. I run 2-3 days a week still.
  20. 147 this morning. Cookies at work today though, sigh.
  21. At 14 miles for the month and did upper body this morning. I may try another Jillian DVD tomorrow. My right calf still hurts but only when in heels. Looks like flats for the next few days.
  22. Calves are on fire today from timed, weighted calf raises yesterday. I tried Jillian for the first time on Monday. She's a tough broad. Added another 2.25 miles so far this week. Total mileage is 12 miles for the month.
  23. Gamergirl- red is your color! You look beautiful and that waist!
  24. Had my 9 month appt yesterday. Doc said I won't keep losing. His goal for me was between 160-170. I hit that at my 6 mo appt. Now I'm 147. I informed him that I would lose to at least 140 but was shooting for 135 so I have a bounce range. He just looked at me.
