  2. it is amazing to see how everyone's diets difffer. i will be 3 weeks out thursday. at 1 week out i started the soft foods. can have 2 tbsps of any kind of meat/fish/poultry as long as it isn't a potted meal. it is supposed to be pureed but doing that it has no taste. so i make sure i cut it up really small and chew, chew, chew. vegies and fruits have to be mashable. good luck everyone with their diets!
  3. ty for the ideas. i'll keep them in mind. right now i am only 11 days post op so too early for fruits and nuts.
  4. i haven;t tempted eating out yet. but yesterday i had a graduation party and was at my father's today. i didn't know what to take with me and i knew there wasn't gonna be anything that i could eat. so i ended up leaving early so i could eat at home, not that i wanted to eat but knew i needed to. uggggggggggg
  5. i started my soft foods on friday and i have no desire to eat. i'm also having trouble with figuring out what i can take with me if i;m gonna be out of the house for a few hours. hoping someone can help me with some suggestions
  6. i feel ur pain hun. my brother and sister both questioned why i was doing this. my father (on mother's day no less) tells me that i don't have the will power to do this. i just need to go back to watching what i eat. i did the medifast diet and almost 40 lbs but had my gall bladder out 15 months ago and gained it all back and plus (still on medifast). he told me that i'm not serious about losing the weight again. he "sees" what i eat and it's like i don;t care anymore. really, he sees me eat maybe ever couple of months for a holiday or we go up to philly for a hockey game. had a surgery a week and a half ago and my mother was the only one to come see me. went to the house for fathers day today and he didn't say one word to me about it. i know it was my decision and my decision only to make but would be nice to have my families support too.
  7. ty so much for that bit of info. i am a pb junkie and soooo hating that i can't have it. i will have to look for this.
  8. u are doing fine. i am 3 days post op and using skim milk. my paperwork from nutrition actually says to mix the protein with milk. my problem is that i am already tired of the shakes.
  9. i have heard about taste buds changing after surgery. i have tried the unjury powders. like the strawberry and chocolate. love the atkins strawberry shakes. it's hard to try things when everything comes in such large containers.
  10. hi all. i am 3 weeks from my surgery, nervous and excited at the same time. ordered my Vitamins, just need to get my Protein. any suggestions for Protein shakes? how to prepare for surgery? thanks melissa
