NSV!! I fit in the chair!

Awesome NSV!!! I have had the same issue in our conference room in the past. I always try and get there early to get a comfortable one. I have not been in there for a year now so I don't know if the chairs with arms are still uncomfortable or not, but I hope they aren't I might just need to sneak in try them out. Way to GO!!!!!!

    What is your height?

I'm 6' foot even. I am lucky I am big framed!! When I had to tell my mom (she did sleep study) how heavy I was - 426 she was floored she thought 350 or so but I have always been told I carry my weight well. I was banded 6-20-05 I have lost 75 pounds in a year - I think I will be happy at 220 - 230 but dr says he would like 180 - 190 so we will see. I just want to be under 300 and then worry about the rest.
  6. The other day I hopped in the cruizer and grabbed my seatbelt and put it on , about half a mile from the house it hit me - I was not using my seatbelt extention. It was on the passanger seat where I sat last night!!! It just hit me that I was not being choked and I had room to move around and stuff...Totally amazing:clap2:

I have a crazy question for you!

If I remember right the insurance was billed about 25,000 - which they only paid % of due to the hospital and surgeon I used are in-network. My surgeon billed the insurance 8000 and was paid 2300 since he was in network. I ended up with 3500 plus another 1000 out of pocket due to above area charge on out of network assistant and sleep study. Hey 4500 for a healthier me is an awesome deal!!!
  8. We will try the water softening technique. If that doesn't work I will do the yogurt smoothie technique. We are switching to 150 mg capsules from the 300 mg capsules to make the pill smaller and hopefully easier to swallow
  9. We always do liquid but this antibiotic is not suitable for liquid - it is capsule or nothing. My Dr and pharmacist both are great about the liquid but they really want me on this certain antibiotic.
  10. It only comes in capsule form - 150 mg and 300 mg no caplet or anything not even liquid - We tried the Dr. and I
  11. Help my doctor - not band doctor pres. 300mg of clindomysin - antibotic - does not come in liquid form the pharmacy tells me then can't make into liquid like thay can others. I have been breaking the capsules into grape juice and taking like a straight shot - Major juck - almost gag it back up, chace it with small amount of sugar and water. Total upsets my stomach!! Any suggestions - we tried pudding - major major yuck. - no way and I can't have apples - ie apple sauce. Please any suggetions - i guess it doesn't come in caplet for so I could cut it down. I am so tight in the am I really need to have it liquid or puree form. Please help with suggetions. :help:

    percentages of weightloss

I have to lose right around 176 pounds, and maybe more we might just head to 200 instead of 250 it just depends on how I feel. I started at 426 and I am now 360 in 10 months and I am still losing. I want the other 34 pounds off by June but we will see. Everyday is a learning process. I eat less then I ever had and I eat healthier (most of the time) but if I do want sweets I eat less then I use to I eat less carbs also. I have a 2 year plan and a 3 year plan. June 2007 I want to be at 250 and I am finally doing more exercise so I plan on it happening. If you want quick weight loss - the band is not the way to go, but it your willing to take the time and make the changes the band requires then it is the best weight loss tool available in my opinion!!

    A new NSV for me!

Way to go Susan!! I know how I felt to finally be able to buy jeans again at Lane Bryant!! I had my own NSV on Saturday - went to a high school rodeo and my boyfriend went to get me some water and I turned to chat with the person sitting next to me and out of the blue I just flopped the ol leg over the other one and actually draped the one on top and not just the ankle resting on the knee. brent came back and asked me what was wrong - I said nothing but was so amazed - It felt awesome..
  14. :help: :help: - I am really struggling on the carb cravings - cookies, candy, chips, potatoes. I need some suggestions. I am trying to eat more protein this week but I still want carbs, and if i eat just 1 bite I want more and more and more. I have good restriction but as we know cookies, chips and most candy just goes on through. Please help!!!!
  15. I was wondering about the progress of bandsters that are 8 to 12 months since surgery...What level of fill are you at? How much have you lost? What do you eat in a day? How much do you exercise? I had surgery 10 months ago. I have lost 62 pounds since surgery date, and 70 since preop. I will admit I do very little exercise, and I have 2.5 cc in my 4 cc band. I eat Break = 6 oz, yogurt, snack = 3 oz beef jerky, lunch = 1 1/2 cups chicken salad, snack = 1/4 cup cashews, dinner = 5 oz, pork cutlet, 1 cup salad, 1/2 cup mashed potatoes. Before now I have struggled with carbs & sweets so I am trying to cut them down starting this week. It's hard. I just want know how others are progressing at during this time frame:biggrin1:
