Hi , I am slowly doing better I have no leaks or strictures my problem was just acid reflux and air pockets , but because I basically went 2 months without eating or getting in my Protein and Vitamins I've developed a problem with walking on my own I loose my balance and fall so I urge everyone new no matter how bad you feel get your protein and vitamins down !!!!

I'm your gal on this one!!! I had my surgery done in Germany (I live in Hawaii) while on a year long trip! After the surgery I took the train back to Amsterdam for 3 weeks, then started traveling FULL TIME for the next 4 months! And my loss was steady and good. It wasn't always easy because I couldn't find a lot of things in Europe that we have here and sometimes my energy level would wain. But I would recommend packing some Protein liquid shots and mixing that with Water or juice and some Protein powder and Protein Bars so you be sure and get your Protein in. There is always yogurt in Europe so that worked for me for Breakfast (and the upside is you won't be interested in the pastries after your surgery). Italy was a tough one, so I always found a place that had minestrone soup; I think I was the only tourist there that had no Pasta, pizza or wine! But the gelato is divine. The toughest part will that you will be eating very little and cannot take the leftovers with you usually; and so many of the restaurants are locally owned and they seem so hurt when you don't eat! I would suggest a little flexible cooler and put things that you know you can eat in it for the plane. For me, I always had to have some saltine crackers or pretzel thins to help keep my stomach settled. I never worried about calories while traveling; it was all about protein and what my tummy could tolerate. Just eat slowly and forget about the alcohol for now; it probably won't taste good anyway.

Hello Sleever's im new here and this is my biggest fear and concern in considering gastric sleeve surgery as one of my life changing decisions, so i need your help and opinion for sleever's who are men at the age of twenty. I am currently 20 and my weight is around 340 pounds and my height around 5/9, now my question is if i lose a lot of weight with this surgery will i have massive amounts of loose skin at my age? - now don't get me wrong i am doing this for my health mostly but considering my age this is an issue that pretty much scares me at times.

I was sleeved June 2nd and I've been having a really hard time with Protein considering everything about it turns my stomach and then when I force it I'm nauseous all day , I sure hope this sensitive taste and smell stuff gets better but anyways other then that I'm doing great I've lost 45 lbs total including pre-op loss well I hope everyone else is doing great and goodluck fellow sleevers :-)

thats cool great job im on day 2 still alittle weird for me so little of what ever and i feel full hope to be able to drink a bit more Water but feel good

I just wanted to update everyone on how things are going , I am officially sleeved as of saturday June 2nd and today im feeling pretty great my experience here at the hospital has been great I have zero complaints it has truely been the best hospital experience by far I had my third leak test today and it went great my sleeve looks perfect I have so much to say about my experience that I will def. share once im home but to anyone considering Dr Aceves I can assure you that you will love it and you will def. not regret it for a second

Hi I'm from Huntsville,al I went to Dr Aceves in Mexicali Mexico ....my pcp wasn't very big on going to Mexico but she agreed to do my postoperative care ...goodluck :-)

I'm in Huntsville and had surgery with Dr Ramos-Kelly in Tijuana in December 2011. My PCP is very supportive and it thrilled with my progress. If you are not getting support, there are other PCPs. Good luck with your journey.

Ok when ppl said the first month after surgery is the hardest part I def. Agree it sucks so bad watching everyone around you eat and not to mention its so hard to get all your fluids in and I'm so sick of Jello and the thought of broth makes me nauseous sry I'm just venting I hope this time flys by :-(

Woo hoo! I was there on may 21 and remember feeling fantastic day of. I'll warn you...I felt like ass on day 2, but was told its totally normal. Day 3 I was back to feeling fab again!

Ok so just had surgery this morning w dr aceves and i all finushed and feel amazing... Readytobethin is here with me and she is doing great also with the exception of a lol nausia! I truely was scared for nothing! I barely even hurt! The doctors and staff are amazing and second to none! Cant wait til morning so i can finally drink something!!

Congrats! I was sleeved there on may 21...positive experience all the way! PS...the quesadillas at the Crowe plaza are amazing they'll let you have a nice meal the night before so long as it's after your blood tests and before 10pm
