So I've been doing my research and have decided on Mexico. In order to get the funds I am basically having to beg my boss to amend the 401k plan to include financial hardship. He hasnt given me his decision yet ????. Anyway, I work for a small office where everyone knows each others business. I'm ok with people know what I'm doing. After all, my being fat isn't a secret. Anyway, the problem I am having is I work for oral surgeons who both think going to Mexico is crazy!!! AND I'm afraid he won't do the amendment because of this! What I do with my body isn't their decision! Grrrrrrr. So frustrated!

I'm laughing like an idiot, but I haven't had surgery yet!

So my plan b is only ONE STEP AWAY!!! Gotta beg my boss to amend the retirement for hardship purposes. If he does this, I have the money for surgery! I'm so wishfully thinking that my bags are practically packed! Lol! Prayers now that he agrees!!!

Every time I talk to my hubs about it, he thinks I want what my sister had (a tummy tuck). He doesn't get it. He dies t understand that I'm slowly dying. Our ins doesn't cover it, he won't consign to finance it and I'm doing all I can to get my 401k out to get it done in Tijuana. I feel if I just 'save' I'll be dead by the time I have enough. Discouraged.

3 weeks liquid? I think the preop diet scares me worse than the rest of it! If I'm able to get it I'll have to get some opinions on products! Good luck and prayers going up for you. Keep me posted on your progress!

I've been lurking on here a few days since I downloaded the app and I want this surgery soooo bad!!! Anyway, Dr. Ramos Kelly's site is showing a price decrease right now for vsg for $4500. I just applied for financing online. Prayers please I don't get denied. And if I do get the financing, that my husband won't blow a gasket that I 'made a bill'. He's a freak with finances. But I feel I am slowly dying. I need something to hope for!!! I'm ready for this!!!

And yet it's amazing how most insurances will not cover this surgery while there is still hope. I'm 5'4" 262lbs there is still hope for me and my insurance covers nothing. If they find out my high blood pressure is even weight induced they will stop covering appointments, medicine and anything related to obesity. Sick isn't it? I want this surgery so badly I downloaded this app just for the information til I can save the money for Mexico!

Yet a another reason why I am jealous! Trying to find a way to afford the surgery. My insurance sucks !

No one will go with me either cause the doctor I want to go to is in Tijuana!!! WOOOOO. SO SCARY! Anyway, I have to save more money first ( but I am a strong person when it comes to doing things alone. It's less complicated! Anyway, for all of you who have had it done already...JEALOUS!
