Welcome to LBT and congratulations on your band....that is great....Two weeks out, I wouldn't be trying to eat any solids....stick to the liquid diet and please follow your doctors orders...you are in a healing stage right now and you don't want to do anything to mess up the healing of your band....Don't take chances with the band...I see you paid the $15,000.00 out of your own pocket, so did I...I want to make sure I don't mess this up...$15,000.00 is a lot of money and I don't want to ruin what I have had done...

In our support group meeting, we had an instructor from a gym come by and he said, " the slower you lose the weight, the less likely you will have the sagging skin" He thinks the skin has time to shrink up and the elasaticity will bring it back to normal when you do it slowly...and if you are doing work outs that tone...

Never heard of this...I have not had any problems with my throat...I can't understand why acid reflux would cause a lump......

Dear BudinIndy... I would think anything that you do before the surgery will be of great help...I went on two liquid diet pre-op to shrink the liver...The walking on treadmill will be great, like you said, you will get your body use to the exercise....Sounds like you have a great attitude and you are so ready for the surgery.... I don't know about the support group meeting....ours is all people that have lap-band...I don't think that anyone there has had RNY....I am not sure about this, but from the people that I have met and spoke with, they had the lap-band... Good luck...hope all goes well....

Hello Sugarbear, I was banded on 4/6/07..had my first fill on 5/17/07 and will have the second fill on 7/2/07..... I have lost 34 lbs total....I think after tonights support group meeting, I will be able to step up my pace and get some more weight off...I am going to start walking lots more....Hope I remember to wear the pedometer....I guess that will take some getting use to....

I am so sorry to hear of your problems with the insurance...I hope that you will find a way to be banded...Maybe your doctor can help...I hope so....good luck...

Welcome to LBT....congrats on your decision to be banded...hope the process will go fast for you,Craig and for you, Sweety...I love the band...I was banded on 4/6/07 and have lost 34 lbs....best thing I have ever done....I would gladly do it again, tomorrow...I eat what I am supposed to eat, and I stay away from foods that I shouldn't eat...I feel just fine....I am one of the lucky ones, I have never thrown up and I have not been nauseated.
