New guy here
Welcome aboard! Nice to see another guy around here. Although I'm female, I've realized how we mostly dominate here, so it's good to have as many guys aboard as possible!

Antibiotics for dental proceedures
I have to have antibiotics at least 4 days before anyway. I had Peridcarditis back in February (fluid in sac around my heart) and so I will always have to have the pills before any dental work from now on.

Have you had other surgery?
I've had 2 D&Cs, one C-Section (which I was completely knocked out for), gallbladder removed, wisdom teeth removed, tonsilectomy, and my LapBand. Yeah, I'm a little experienced with surgery by now. LOL

Please hold me accountable....
Good job on ignorning the candy. It's so hard to do at this time of year, and I commend you for it. Also, please be gentle with yourself. You've experienced a trauma, and it can take a while to move past that. I actually gained a TON of weight after losing my first, and you are so fortunate that you have the band to keep you from doing that. Keep up the great work, and just holler my way if you need me. ((((((HUGS))))))

Body Wraps
The results last as long as you want them to. LOL If you keep exercising and eating right, they should keep lasting. And I'm not so sure about the cheating part. You'd have to ask NaNa about that. LOL

In case of an emergency...I did this last night.
Does anyone know of a place to get the same kind of tags/bracelets as these, but only without the medical snake sign on them? I know that the little star looking thing should be just as acceptable as the snake one in the medical world. And in case you're wondering, it's for religious reasons that I don't want the snake one. That's why it's kind of important to me.

Body Wraps
I'm trying to remember because it's been years ago. (Pre Dylan days) I think it lasts around an hour total, and the cost will vary. I think she gave me a huge discount because she was my customer and I was hers kind of thing. I distantly remember her saying that they can run upwards of $100 in some salons/spas, depending on where you go. I would just call around and ask and they'll be able to give you a price. It may be cheaper or more.

Body Wraps
I'm not sure Vines. I know that mine were things that literally looked like extremely long ace bandages. They were made out of material and soaked in this mineral stuff - and kept at a very high temperature in this heater thing, until she was ready to wrap me. Then I stripped down to my skivies and bra and she started down at my ankles and wrapped all of the way up my legs, then did the same with my arms, and also my stomach and chest too. Then she put this plastic sweat suit type thing on me and I sat in a chair for about a half hour/hour and then she unwrapped me and I was soaking wet. She always measured me before wrapping and also after, to see how many inches I had lost. It was really quite an amazing and relaxing time for me. The woman can give some awesome facials too. I used to go when I still worked and could afford it. And because she was a customer of mine, she also gave me a discount on her services. We would sit there and talk about everything sometimes, and then other times she'd let me listen to soothing music. I miss having that time to just pamper myself. Ok. I'm seriously going to start crying here.

Body Wraps
I did them a couple of times way back in the day. I totally agree with Jamie. If you continue to eat healthy and exercise it'll be worth it. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste my money.

Halloween Traditions
I grew up with the traditional trick or treating too, until our family all became Christians. Then mom and dad starting taking us to Hallelujah night at our church. We could still dress up in fun costumes, go for hay rides, play games, and get the goodies, but the focus was on Christ and having fun with each other. Now that we have Dylan, we just dress him up in a cute outfit each year, and then take him around to our familie's homes to get pictures. My mom and dad's, his mom's, his aunts, and then both sets of my grandparents as well. It gives us a chance to talk with all of our close and immediate family, as well as to get pictures with them that will last a lifetime. (And a small amount of candy for dad and son too.)

This is why I'm dying for a soda
OMG! You poor thing!!! I think I'd be a totally whacked out nut job by now if I had to stare at those day in and day out just calling my name continuously! Honey, I'm here if you need me. You can cry on my shoulder, you can write poems about how much and how badly you want one, and I can soothe you all the while singing coom-bye-ah. Hold strong my dear, hold strong!
