I don't have insurance either and have been wanting to get the surgery done, but I also need insurance just because I have other health concerns I want to be able to take care of like I'm supposed too...So I came on here a few weeks ago and someone told me about PCIP insurance, it's a preexisting insurance plan and they also cover the surgery. So I'm on my way now, I only had to give them a copy of a denial letter from and insurance company and they will cover me at only around 200 a month which is less than I was paying for insurance at my job! So that might be an option for you..

My mom had the sleeve and it's been almost a year now, but she would put lemon juice in her water which helped a lot!

Yes that's where the surgeon I found was, New Orleans actually. And my mom had the sleeve almost a year ago next month, and her doctor is in Slidell and I would really like to use him, so hopefully maybe I can do that same thing and call in and find one a little closer. I am only an hour from New Orleans but I really don't want to make that drive.

hey everyone! It took me a while to find my denial letter from BCBS but I reapplie with United Healthcare and was denied yesterday so I mailed of my forms today so hopefully in a few weeks I will be covered and be able to start this process!! Thanks for the help!!

I am applying for it now, I wonder what is the best option, the lower deductible and higher premium or lower premium with higher deductible? Which one do you have?

I have been denied by BCBS because I am overweight, and I do need insurance not just for the sleeve surgery but for many other health reasons as well..so I will have to look into this

I would love too but it would probably take me a couple years to save it all!!! I guess that will end up being my only option and if I haven't had the weight loss by the time I get the money saved then at least I'll have the money!!

Yes I was talking about Private Insurance because as far as I know my insurance at work and insurance at my husbands job neither cover any bariactric surgery...so I'm not really sure what I should do because I dont have any credit so I'm sure I woudn't be able to get financed...

I want to have to sleeve done...but as of right now I do not have any insurance...is there anyone who has taken insurance out and gotten the sleeve done??If so what kind should i take out?
