Its Your Period Dummy!
I also know my hormones are out of whack because my labido is way down and that's is just not me. I require sex on a daily basis or I'm a real B!@#* to live with. Lol. Now though not so much and it bothers my hubby because he's out of town 60% of the month so when he's home I'm like umm no!

Its Your Period Dummy!
So I have PCOS and have had it for yrs. I've been on birth control for the last 3 yrs (lo estren24) need less to say I've never had any problems and I actually don't have periods that is until I was 1month post op and 20#'s lighter. I didn't think my drastic weight loss would effect my period so much since I thought the birth control regulated my hormones. Has anyone else had this experience? I take my pills like clock work because I've lost 50+#'s and have 4 kids so I'm good in that department I don't need anymore babies. Every since April though I've either had break through bleeding, spotting, or back to back cycles. It just has me worried that it means my bc won't be as effective. I don't need a surprise baby!!! I did call into my obgyn to see what she thinks. I'm just curious as to others experience.

How Did You Progress Through The Food Phases?
Yeah I'm suppose to be on full liquids for two weeks but don't see that happening I move to purees after that fot another 2 weeks then soft foods so we will see luckily my bariatric coordinator at the hospital I was at has been awesome so I just email her my questions and she males me feel better. I'm just in shock at how well I'm doing 5days out I expected so much worse I know I should be happy its not but it just has me worrying about my success.

I Just Got It Done Thursday
Cab- right it terrifies me that the surgery won't work. Im having no issues getting my protein via isopure so that's 40oz of liquid plus my soup is 6oz and my water and juice in between the only time I can tell I had the surgery is if I gulp instead of sip. I'm really hoping that the more solid the food gets the harder it is to eat so much if that makes sense if not ill be fat forever.

I Just Got It Done Thursday
Linky- the first 24hrs were tough for me after that I havent needed much in the way of pain meds but I have a high tolerance for pain and the meds. They were shocked that even after diluata (strongest pain med they could give) I was still awake. I take the pain meds at night just to stay on top of it and to not be so sore in the morning but I don't see myself continuing that to much longer. The gas issue depends on the Dr. Mine luckily didn't use much so again after 24 hrs and I started passing it I was good to go. I was in the yard yesterday moving dirt and filling holes. So each person is different. I also find I feel better the sooner I'm up and around. I was walking the halls by 4pm the day of the surgery and I had it at 12pm. (Now I'm just milking it hoping my kids will continue their good behavior lol)

How Tired Were You In The Weeks Post-Op?
I was sleeved 5 days ago and the hubby just left out of town for work (which is common he works out of town 100%). I have 4 at home 9,7,5 and 3 with no family help. I also homeschool them so they are all with me all day. This is an even crazier week since myself and my daughter are in a wedding Sat (10days post op). So I'm running errands to finish up about that plus taking kids to classes and planning my sisters shower 500 miles away. I think I'm tired but I just haven't had the chance to feel it yet. I think Sunday when the wedding has passed I'll probably sleep all day lol. And I keep telling myself this was the most convienent time to schedule the surgery because I only get busier from here on out. Lol

I Just Got It Done Thursday
I had mine Wednesday and I was up and around within an hour the.only thing that kept me down was the nausea but that passed in 24 hrs. I was up so soon because I have 4 little ones to care for and not much help (the hubby works out of town) plus I'd had 4 c sections so this has been easy. I'm more concerned that I'm tolerating yogart and cream soups so well. I can eat 6oz at a time and not feel stuffed or sick. I'm hoping that will change with more solid foods.

How Did You Progress Through The Food Phases?
I'm 5days out and I'm healing well too. I'm actually concerned that I can eat too much. I had a cup of cream soup with no issues. I've also tolerated a 6oz yogart with no issues. I'm actually starting to get hungry. I've had no issues getting in my protien because I sip on 2 isopure drinks a day. My friend said not to worry it will change when I get to more solid foods that these are sliders and easier to tolerate. I'm just worried at this rate I'll never loose

Recovering From Surgery
I had surgery the 14th and was up and walking about an hour after. I am so excited to have had this done! I'm currently on the full liquid diet and quickly learning that I must learn to sip and not gulp. Lol. My best friend has been a baby spoon to keep my portions small and keep me slow at eating. This recovery has been much better than expected and other than the occasional gulp I can't yet tell I have a smaller stomach. Happy in Louisiana!

Primal Or Paleo
I haven't been sleeves yet but I've done the primal blueprint and I love it! He says as long as your following it 80% of the time your being successful. I lost the most and felt the best while I was on the primal diet. It was hard to stick with but once you over come the changes its so worth it

Recovery
I was just curious what your recovery was like? I'm trying to schedule my surgery around my husbands 5days off and my friends wedding. I've been told I probably won't have any issues with recovery because of my experience with 4c sections and they were all very very large babies. This surgery compared to the above will be a "walk in the park". I have a very high pain tolerance. One of my sections was a 12lb 23in premature baby that was breaking my pelvic bone and I was up walking around within hrs of my surgery just to give you an idea of pain I've tolerated well. My concern is if I have the surgery on a Wed will I be able to be in a wedding 10 days later?

Did You Have To Do 6Mos Supervised Diet
I'm just so anxious. I know it covers it at 100% no co insurance or deductible. I'm just worried about the guidelines. I've read and heard through the grapevine that railroad insurance was great coverage and easy approval, but again just so nervous. The rep from the hospital said she had someone come through a yr ago with the exact same ins and they had no requirements other than BMI over 40 I'm currently at 45 and diagnosed with high blood pressure yesterday :-( I'm 32 with 4 kids and just ready to be healthy with them again. Fingers crossed for no supervised diet. I did one back in 2010 but wasn't "supervised". I worked with a personal trainer for a yr and lost 50# but that plus some is back:-( its so hard to be so patient lol

Did You Have To Do 6Mos Supervised Diet
How long did it take for your approval to come in?

Did You Have To Do 6Mos Supervised Diet
Did your insurance require you to have a 6 mos supervised diet? I have united health care through the railroad employees and my precert just got sent in for approval. I'm nervous I'm going to have to complete a 6mos diet and well I'm just not very patient right now I've been waiting so long that another 6 mos seems like an eternity. I just hope I het approved with out it!
-
INSURANCE! if u dont mind responding
I have united through the railroad as well. How hard was it to get approval and how long did it take? I'm so nervous and anxious about ins approval. Was there any special stipulations such as 6mos of dieting/
