  1. . Please see reply above, how about you?
  2. I was 308 first appointment in November 2011, 320 on January 5th 2012 when I started preop diet, 292 on March 3rd surgery day.
  3. Desertmom, we are still right together! Almost exact same stats! I am now 182.8. Keep up the great work! :-)
  4. Desertmom, we are right on track together! Good luck with the trainer!
  5. How are we doing March Sleevers?? My starting weight was 320, surgery date on3/2 was 291, currently186, and I want to be 150 by my 1st anniversary.
  6. 3 days after submittal I called and was told I was approved on the phone, letter received in 10 days
  7. I had surgery on March 3rd, started doctor's program at 320, surgery at 290 and today 210. Sooooo very happy. Started at 24/26 and now I am 14-16 depending on cut. No issues, I can eat pretty much everything except jalapeños. 5'6" tall. Glad to hear other's sauces stories!
  8. As stated, my opinion is simply that, my opinion, it was not intended to be negative. If you like, message me and I will give you more background as to what forms that belief
  9. Btw, my surgeon has 100% diabetes type 2 resolution with sleeve and RNY, the University is doing a clinical study to see why both works. I am in the food cravings study, but not in the diabetes study because luckily I had managed to avoid it.
  10. I trust my surgeon implicitly, and was originally set on a different surgery, but he told me he thinks the sleeve is the way to go. My surgeon is a general surgeon at a university facility, very studious, and he was definitely right in my case. WLS is only a small part of his practice. In my opinion, I would not want a doc who had only done 30 procedures....just like I wouldn't use an attorney who had only handled 30 cases. There is skill and experience involved!!
  11. We've all been there, I was banging my head trying to figure out how you not lose weight on 400 calories a day and going to the gym. When I finally got my Protein up, I started dropping weight like crazy. I was sleeved on 3/2 and I don't lose anything 1-1/2 weeks a month, but on the other days I drop 1-3 pounds a day. It makes no sense, but on average I have lost 15.8 pounds per month, which is a okay by me!
  12. Update -58 since surgery on 3/2, -74 since starting the surgeon's program
  13. The quickest through my surgeon's program is 3 months, average is 6 months to one year. I was going every week, sometimes twice, to get all the required classes in and all the required pre op appointments.
  14. VSG surgery, $28k, look on ex's face when he sees you after, priceless
  15. Definetly go see your ob/gyn! But you look fantastic!!
  16. Hello, I had horrible progress my second month, I don't know if it was a natural stall, but I did up my Protein to around 100 gm, got my Water up to around 55 oz and started going to the gym and now I am pleased with my progress.
  17. I was sleeved march 2nd, weight at surgery was 290, now 250.6. Major stall 2nd month, only lost 6 pounds that month, but now with higher Protein and Water it is moving again. How's everyone else doing??
  18. I always have a Water bottle, a plastic lidded cup and my Syntrax nectar. Just get a few ice cubes, pour some water into my lidded cup and I am good to go!
  19. I agree, upped the protein and my stall has broken!! Yea!!
  20. Hmmm, upped my protein to 70 grams for two days straight and knock on wood, the stall may be broken. Will update tomorrow, but lost 1.5 overnight!
  21. I am in the stall boat too, feel like I am banging my head against a wall. I am definitely not getting in my protein so I am going to start working on that and hopefully see movement. Best wishes to all and please update as stalls break!!
  22. Okay, so I am 4.5 weeks out and after dropping 43 pounds (including the liquid diet) I am in the dreaded stall. It is evil, completely evil, and even though I know it is basic math (calories eaten-calories expended will eventually lead to weight loss) I can't help feeling frustrated. I have banned the scales, read all the stall posts, but need to vent. I upped my exercise this week, tried to up my food a little (600 calories). So please post encouragement and tips, dear fellow sleevers!
  23. Ah, great idea. My M.O. In the past has been to lose weight, pick up a loser, gain weight, drop the loser, repeat. Uggggggg, hopefully now I can drop that behavior and feel like I can offer a guy more than being a sugar momma.
