  1. I'm not gonna lie it has been rough some days. Especially when I have a bad day and all I want to do is eat the junk food that has made me feel better. Then i get over it and sometimes cry it out and then I am glad that I can not shove enough food for 3 people in my body at one time anymore.

I am down 35 lbs as of today and 23.5 inches total

I feel a million times better than I did before. Already my heart rate and blood pressure have gone way down. I am getting almost all my protein from pureed and soft foods. I am able to do 2 miles in 30 mins or less on the elliptical.

I had a little stall but I'm not too worried about it I know I will keep losing if I do the things I am supposed to.

So here are some not so awesome before pics. I tried to take them as real as possible and then some after pics.

  2. This time tomorrow I will be getting sleeved! Surgery is scheduled for 10:am. I'm so nervous and excited. I kept having the strangest dreams last night about eating.lol.. in my dream I kept forgetting I was on only clear liquids and I would eat a cookie or a cracker and I was going to have to cancel my sugery. No chance I'll forget though it's all I can think about.

Has anyone had miso soup on the clear liquids diet? Just curios I found some yesterday at Whole Foods and thought it might be a nice change from beef or chicken broth.

Today for my valentine's day treat and day before surgery. I am getting treated to a pedicure, massage and facial!! Thanks to my boyfriend and mom. I'd much rather have this than a big ol box of chocolates. I am hoping it will take my mind off of only having clear liquids today and ease some of my anxiety.
  3. So I had my blood work done yesterday and my gallbladder ultrasound. Tomorrow I start my pre op diet. Friday I meet with the nutritionist. I'm so excited but also super nervous. I'm so ready for this.

I've been telling my daughter who is three that I'll be having surgery and I'm going to get smaller/Skinny. So on a daily basis she asks "mommy are you skinny yet" lol.. I say no not yet and try to explain to her that I will be normal size or the size of her aunt or my mom (who are both average size) then I will be "skinny".. she looks at me all sweet and concerned and says "but I don't want you to be a skinny mommy I can't love you if your skinny". She is so confused I say I'm going to be smaller/ healthier and she says "but where is the rest of you going to go? I will miss you".. I just keep telling her she will be able to love me more and longer because I will be healthy and alive alot longer now. It makes me happy that she loves me no matter what but also sad that she has no idea how much more fun we could have if I wasnt so big now.

I am even more sure that this is the right choice for me.
  4. This doesn't even feel real. It's all happening so fast. This pre op diet sucks but I'm hanging in there 6 lbs down. I've even had enough energy in the morning to go to the gym. I used to love the gym and it's coming back to me now.

I'm so ready to get this started. I'm worried about surgery because I've never been under before. It makes me nervouse like I might not wake up. I'm sure I'll be fine I just have to stay calm.
  5. This Is The Begining!

I officially have a date Feb 15th. With Dr. Jawad in Ocala Fl. This has all happened so fast. I had my first appt with the dr today and because I'm self pay I was able to go ahead and set a date! Crazy. I just have to have the blood work and gallbladder ultrasound and I'm good to go.. Yay I am so excited and nervous.
