Ugh protein is hard to do
This deal reminds me of driving on ice, when in doubt..slow down. Sleevie don't dig too much or too fast. I am over a year out and he still feels the same about it. At one week out only slow tunes for you. Don't worry about starving. Won't happen. If you don't get it all in...no problem..tomorrow is another day. Be good to sleevie now, she gonna make you look good later.

Glutamine and Acetominopheine. Ok after surgery?
http://www.drugs.com...taminophen.html http://www.mercola.c...ry/protocol.htm http://www.livestron...-after-surgery/ Acetaminophen is also called Tylenol and other things, normally prescribed after surgery. Too much could mess with your liver. Glutamine is widely prescribed to help healing, especially in other countries. Nearly impossible to overdose as the second link says. I hit the glutamine consistently, I think it helps my recovery from exercise. Is the coordinator a doctor or nurse?

From one time traveler to another, I salute you!! I used to think,"If I just had the brain I have now with the young body I had then..." Pretty darned close!! Congratulations!

most vile thing I have ever tasted
I know you speak the truth. I have had antibiotics get stuck in the back of my throat, had to spit them up and take them again. Diabolical flavor! No wonder bacteria hates em, anything would. I used to take powdered green tea extract in a shot glass of hot water with a bit of splenda. Makes your entire body shudder in exquisite revulsion.

best green superfood powder?
It seems to mix well with dairy type stuff, too, if you don't mind whatever you mix it with turning green. I don't. I have been getting a lot of gassiness which I blame on the powder. Not a big deal for me, my body is adjusting. I am still sleeping well. I have a feeling that about week 2 I will notice a big difference in energy.

My best friend is mad at me for having the surgery, and it makes me so sad : (
My wife was talking about RNY surgery and I was her biggest opposition.I told her the operation was like putting a gun to her head. I told her that I would become tyrannical and abusive like the idiot from "Sleeping With The Enemy" and keep her from eating if that would help her lose weight without the surgery. Then I went to an informational meeting held by the surgeon. Her jaw hit the floor when we left when I announced that I not only approved of her surgery, but was contemplating getting myself sleeved. Ignorance breeds fear. In her case, losing her fellow struggler is a factor, fear of being alone. I would give her space and time. When the light dawns on her she could be a brand new person and you'll have your friend back

WRONG DIRECTION ..PLZ HELP!
All is not lost. Give yourself power. Weight recently gained can be quickly lost. Only 7 days, live moment by moment, not in the past. Your best days are ahead. Make it so. Devise a plan, write it down, study it, and defend it. You can do this.

It works body wraps.
So then it's permanently temporary. Kind of like when you older kids move back into your house.

It works body wraps.
The website claims the results are not temporary: The results you see from the Ultimate Body Applicator are not temporary, as you may have experienced or heard about with many body wraps that simply cause Water loss. The Ultimate Body Applicator helps tighten, tone, and firm in a manner that produces lasting results—without water loss. As is true with any weight loss or body slimming, you can reverse the results you see from the Ultimate Body Applicator with poor eating habits and lack of exercise. This is why we say, depending on your eating habits and level of daily activity, you can expect your results to last approximately anywhere from 2 - 6 months. Using Defining Gel daily can help you make sure that you improve and maintain your results from the Ultimate Body Applicators. Continued use of the Ultimate Body Applicators will also help you achieve continued results and maintain results you may be reversing with eating and lifestyle habits.

Melatonin to sleep
I have taken it many times. It helped me overcome the effects of a 3rd shift job and jet lag. It will give you vivid dreams, some folks can't dig that, I just go along with the ride. There is sublingual melatonin that will not hurt tummy.

Rapidly Gaining Weight 2 Years Post Op Sleeve Surgery
http://www.naturalne...ts_healing.html http://how-to-burn-fat.com/diet-supplements/l-glutamine-and-hunger-pangs I am a big believer in glutamine. It is used commonly after operations to speed healing time. I use it for recovery from my hard core workouts and at 64, the effects of stress like that can be tough. I am also into it for long term healing of cancer treatment and my operations. Apparently it can also help suppress hunger according to the second link. Sometimes hunger is the body searching for something. Just a shot in the dark but maybe you should check your supplement program, water intake, and maybe give glutamine a try. Here's what I buy: http://www.bodybuild...-glutamine.html

Rapidly Gaining Weight 2 Years Post Op Sleeve Surgery
What a great thread! Threads like these add a great deal of value to this forum. I suggest copying this thread and the ones mentioned here by veteran Oregon Daisy and putting up a sub-division somewhere called "long time sleevers" or something. This kind of stuff lifts the fog, it helps you see down the road. It sparked a conversation between my RNY wife and myself about our indulgence in crap food at the theater yesterday. Never again. Detours can be deadly. From a newby at 1 year 2 months I thank you vets that chimed in!!!

best green superfood powder?
Yup on the hay barn smell, tastes like alfalfa to me. I used to take alfalfa tablets. I used about 16 oz of Water the first day, about 10 oz the second day. With my small banana tummy I like to get it over sooner so I concentrated it. I have been hitting it twice a day, probably over-doing it but that's me. I put it in a whey shake with Peanut Butter and it was real good. I drank it in some coffee today, pretty strange but palatable. It may be too soon to tell if it is having an effect on me but I do believe I am sleeping better, a huge thing for me. My bowels have been going pretty good, too. I had a slight headache after my morning dose, a good sign that toxins are being dumped. Any effects on you yet?

Older looking than a rock singer...turkey neck
There's a rumor that Ron Popeil of Ronco has come up with a stapler/cutter similar to the one that they use for the sleeve operation to use on the back of your neck to cure turkey neck, the Pocket Surgeon. Your friend pulls your skin back like a hound dog pup and then... chuchink..slice, chuchink...slice,chuchink...slice,...done. Trouble is it's only good for long haired women and guys who wear mullets.

Will I Ever Be Satisfied With My Weight?
I have found that being satisfied with the kind of person I am has a lot to do with being satisfied with my weight. Granted, when I was at my fattest it was pretty hard to be happy. It was like being in prison. When I was given the gift of the sleeve my expectations of a future rose high and my opinion of myself grew as well. I was proud of my courage and I felt God smiling at me. Now that I am at goal I know that I will never be "perfect". I don't believe that Mattel is in search of a model for a new version of the Ken doll so that does not distress me. I have a bit of sag in my belly area but I am fully functional for all that I want to do. To me the sag is just a battle scar, it reminds me how God helped me win a battle. The Gman is happy with Gman and so is Mrs. Gman.

A thread for people who dont argue, name call, dictate or generally just be nasty.
You posted almost exactly what I was going to post. Maybe it is a guy thing. I make good choices and avoid the counting. Get the protein in, eat good carbs, water, vitamins, exercise, done. I never liked diets because they are like hiring a dictator to run your life. I have a wife for that.

Hubby's Turn!
I also had my sleeve done on wife's insurance, she had RNY before me. It is great to face the struggles together and Celebrate the victories. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/67006-gmanbat-and-wife-ba-pics/
