GEAUX SAINTS got a reaction from Graciesmom04 in The slimes.... can anyone explain them?
I get them when I cram my tiny stomach full. My mouth starts watering uncontrollably and I know it's on!!! It's only been like 2 times, but I have to run to the bathroom and puke. It'd puked on a daily basis when I was banded, but I'm really enjoying the feeling of just having a smaller stomach. It's take some getting used to, but it's working for me and it will work for you, too! Weigh your food to keep from overfilling. After 3+ months I still weigh. It helps! Good luck to you!!!

GEAUX SAINTS reacted to Graciesmom04 in Gained 2 lbs......very discouraging
I can gain a lb or 2 on a daily basis and the next day it's back down. I think it's several factors...water/salt intake a day before/clothes....I weigh once a week at work (professional scale) but about every other day at home. I don't get too excited about it. I've gone up 2 lbs one day and by the start of the next week, been down 5lbs.

Aww...thank you. The 150 lb. goal was my doctor's idea. She said she would be thrilled if I got down to that weight. I kept eating the way I had been since being banded and the weight just continued to come off. It's stabilized at around 115. I haven't been this size since I was a young girl. Even when I got married, I was 125 lbs. and looked really nice so this is really an amazing accomplishment for me. Now...to keep it off. That's the real goal.

Beef Jerky, Protein bars, string cheese wrapped with prosciutto or salami ( I found them at Winn Dixie), and almonds. I also put tons of ice in my cup, so after I drink I can eat the ice. It helps!

GEAUX SAINTS got a reaction from Inner Surfer Girl in I can't drink any protein! Help
Believe me when I say I've spent hundreds on Protein shakes. They all made me sick as hell!!! Finally, I found powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury strawberry Sorbet. It's really good, to me, anyway. It still makes my tummy growl, but I don't get sick anymore! I got mine from my surgeons office the first time. They gave my several packets to try. The strawberry won out, hands down. I will order it from Amazon when I run out. You can order a sample pack from Amazon or from the Unjury website. The send 2 packs of each flavor. Try it! Good luck to you!

Everyone has to do what works for them, and I am, and I am so thankful for my dietician who keeps me on track. It's like she KNOWS what will work for each of her patients! Wow, I suppose that makes her a true professional! So thankful, indeed!

I had a 3 week stall a while back. I decided to go back to basics. I started eating just Protein again and it seemed to work. Good luck to you!!!

You didn't say what you're eating, but try going back to basics. I did this after a 3 week stall and it worked. Eat only Protein. No veggies or fruit. Try it for a week and see if it gives you a kick start.

I hate to rain on your parade, but I felt exhausted, weak & dizzy until about 5 weeks out! Then I just woke up one morning and poof, I felt alive again! Try upping your Protein. It should help with your energy! Good luck to you.

@@burtonbn - My doc was the same and I think I'm doing fine. I loved being able to eat all my favorite things the weekend before. If you feel like you need to do the liquid thing prior to surgery, go for it, though. It won't hut you!
    Good luck in your journey!!!

My problem hasn't been fruit, it's been sliders. But after a 2 week, "dreaded 3 week stall", I decided that this was more important than the moment of satisfaction I got from eating the wrong thing! I'm back on track now and hope to stay that way! You just need to make up your mind if this is worth it, if YOU"RE worth it! You know the answer as well as I do!!! Let's do this!!!

I order a salad with shrimp, dressing on the side so I can take the leftovers home. If they don't have a light dressing that you like, bring your own. I use an empty MIO container. It's the perfect size. Just tell people you like this dressing better that what restaurants usually have. Or I get fish, chicken or shrimp. You can ask them to grill it instead of frying it. If they come pre-breaded (UGH), you know it's not fresh anyway, so I probably would find more healthy place to eat.
    Good luck to you!!!

I was sleeved 2/3. I have gone through several stalls since then, one lasting 3 weeks. OUCH!!! I get depressed every-so-often, as well. In fact, I told my husband that I guess I was done loosing! But then, the next day, I'll loose 3 lbs. It will work...MAKE it work for you.
    Good luck to you!!!
