Worried it wont work
You just have to remember that this is not a fix or and you still have to work it! You need to eat protein first and it's a good idea to weigh your food, even after you think you could stop! Good luck!

Not quite 2 weeks post-op and stalled?!
@@kndoster - My 3 week stall started at 2 weeks and lasted 2 weeks! I'm a month out and the first 16 days I lost 16 pounds. EXCITED!!! Then the stall. I've started loosing again and I'm now at 20 lbs. I'm trying not to get discouraged, but it's hard sometimes. I understand EXACTLY what you're talking about, but it is normal! Good luck to you!!!

Nervous about Revision looking for your story and feedback!
If this doesn't help you make up your mind, I don't know what will. In the first pic, on the left, is my son at 5'7 1/2" and 288lbs. In the other pic, on the left, this time, at 170. He is now 3 years out and enjoying life to its fullest!!! I've been banded, in 2002, and sleeved, last month. I certainly don't regret it! You need to decide what's right for YOU!!! Anyone can show you pics and tell you "their" stories, but they can't decide for you. You're doing the right thing by getting as much info as you can before making such a huge decision. Good luck to you, whatever you decide!!!

Been bad lately....
My problem hasn't been fruit, it's been sliders. But after a 2 week, "dreaded 3 week stall", I decided that this was more important than the moment of satisfaction I got from eating the wrong thing! I'm back on track now and hope to stay that way! You just need to make up your mind if this is worth it, if YOU"RE worth it! You know the answer as well as I do!!! Let's do this!!!

I want a mango so bad!!!

Unknown symptoms...
Sounds like you're drinking before your food has left your stomach. I know the feeling. It feels like there's a huge "something" sitting in your esophagus. You can hardly breath, you, certainly, can't talk and you start sweating!!! If this sounds familiar, wait to drink far a while longer! If I were you, I'd consult my surgeon, regardless!!! Good luck to you!!!

Sleeve or Lap band? Scared of choosing wrong option!
I had the lap-band put in in 2002. I did great with it until it started failing me. After 4 surgeries due to slippage, bad port, etc, it had to come out! If I had to all over again, I would choose the sleeve, hands down. Although I'm only a month out with the sleeve, and have been in the "dreaded 3 week stall" for two of those 4 weeks, it would be my first and only choice.

Surgery Tomorrow-Question?
@@uni2424 - I didn't! I was given it IV at the hospital but once I got hone, no.

Was your band removal and revision surgery done at the same time?
Had mine done at the same time!

Did your taste buds change?
I used to drink 2-3 cups of coffee a day. Now, it's all I can do to drink one cup. Kinda ticks me off!!!

HELP!I NEED A LIST OF SLIDERS!
I need help! I kind of understand the basic concept of sliders, but it would really help if I had a list to go by. I'm basically a hands on kind of person. I know you can't really list them all, but if everyone tells me their own experience with them then maybe I can get a better realization of what, specifically, they are!!! Any input would help!

Intermittent Weight loss, How do you handle it?
@@Stevehud - I weight everyday, as well. I went for my first 2 1/2 weeks losing a pound a day. Then the "dreaded stall". I stalled for 4 days straight. UGH!!! I didn't get upset, other that I couldn't say that I've lost a pound a day anymore! With the sleeve, you KNOW it's not gonna just stop! You WILL loose it, probably a couple! Guys are so lucky! Good luck on your journey!!!

Recovering from Surgery
@@VonJuke - My doc told me that the stomach itself doesn't have pain receptors. So, no, the stomach doesn't hurt. The tissue around it & the incisions, probably, but not the stomach muscle. Believe me when I say it's not bad. The worst part is the gas, believe it or not!!! You will be sore, but it won't necessarily hurt! Good luck to you!

YOURE GETTIN SO FAT YOURE GETTIN UGLY!
When I was younger, people would ask me when my was baby due. It always hurt so damn much. I would just smile and tell them I wasn't. Then I would be totally depressed the rest of the day, if not longer. It's not as blatantly rude as you've had done to you, but I definitely know how you feel!

Scared husband
I'm just assuming here, but I think you and your significant others might be quite a bit younger than I am. This is probably the difference between us. I've been married to my husband for almost 40 years. He's been with me through thick and thin...literally!!! I am a revised lap-band, so we've been through all the highs and lows, so to speak. Even when I was at my biggest, 220+, and depressed and refused to go out in public, all he would do was beg me to go out. He never once said a word when I was big and was tickled pink when I was small. No jealousy, no mistrust!!! I feel for you guys! Hopefully, as time goes on, things will get better for you. It's hard enough to go through all the changes your body is going through right now without added pressure from the person you love most! Good luck to you all and just keep reminding yourself that this is the best thing for YOU!!!

Scared husband
@@heav85 - I'm excited for you...all of us!!! This is a great time for you to do this, with a 2 year old. It will be fun for your whole family! Hopefully, your husband will get over his insecurities and move on to a better life with his little family! I get what he's been through, but like I said, trust issues!! He married you for a reason. He needs to remember that! Good luck to you and your family!!!
