2002 lap band - weight 220 - weight loss 73 lbs, to 147.
2011 sleeve plication - weight 172 - weight loss 7 lbs, just from the liquid diet.
2015 sleeve - February 3, 2115- weight 182.
I was extremely happy with the lap band until the band, itself, became an issue (tube detached, bad port, etc.) plus other issues, including aspiration & hiatal hernia. My doctor recommended that I discontinue use of the band. The plication was useless and I gained 40 lbs in 4 years. My oldest son had the sleeve 3 years ago and is ecstatic with his results.
Had my sleeve done Feb. 3.
