Increase your calorie intake, you may be in starvation mode. Trick your body.

Stalls happen and suck! Keep working the program and eventually the scale will move. It is frustrating, but it is normal!

  6. @@CowgirlJane - I tried to search band to sleeve revision forums and couldn't find one. Can you help me? Thanks!!!
  7. Dreaded three week slump!!!

  8. I searched to find this topic but the ones I found were years old, so I started a new one! Hope that's ok? I am 2 1/2 weeks out and every time I drink a Protein shake, I get nauseated, weak, unsteady & exhausted! I can't even function for a couple of hours after I drink them. I've tried different protein powders (which I dilute with Water, not milk) and several premixed Protein drinks. They all make me feel horrible. I tried drinking it right before bed last night, but the nausea and sweating still kept me up a while. My stomach was growling so loudly I thought I would wake my husband up! REALLY!!! I don't have problems with anything else! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  9. I am a revised lap-band. I've learned a couple of lessons, being banded first! I was sleeved on Feb. 3rd. This time around, when at a restaurant, I will NOT continue to eat until I'm not able to do anything but vomit. And I will NOT drink while I'm eating. I've decided that when the time comes to go to a restaurant, when I order my food, and no drink, I will also ask for a to-go box. When my food and my box arrive, I will leave the appropriate amount of food on my plate and the rest will go into the box, not to be seen again until the following day. I've never had a problem with leftovers. My son, who was sleeved 3 years ago, and his wife, still split an entre. He can only eat about 8oz and unless you're eating French, there's plenty on your plate to share! When I was banded, sometimes I would go the appetizer route. Usually Protein, but stay away from the fried stuff! NOT a good choice!!! Well, feel free to make other eating out suggestions! Good luck to everyone!!!
  10. @@Stevehud - I weight everyday, as well. I went for my first 2 1/2 weeks losing a pound a day. Then the "dreaded stall". I stalled for 4 days straight. UGH!!! I didn't get upset, other that I couldn't say that I've lost a pound a day anymore! With the sleeve, you KNOW it's not gonna just stop! You WILL loose it, probably a couple! Guys are so lucky! Good luck on your journey!!!

    Recovering from Surgery

@@VonJuke - My doc told me that the stomach itself doesn't have pain receptors. So, no, the stomach doesn't hurt. The tissue around it & the incisions, probably, but not the stomach muscle. Believe me when I say it's not bad. The worst part is the gas, believe it or not!!! You will be sore, but it won't necessarily hurt! Good luck to you!
  12. @@sleeveee - I'm thinking it has to do with the number of posts you've written.

YOURE GETTIN SO FAT YOURE GETTIN UGLY!

When I was younger, people would ask me when my was baby due. It always hurt so damn much. I would just smile and tell them I wasn't. Then I would be totally depressed the rest of the day, if not longer. It's not as blatantly rude as you've had done to you, but I definitely know how you feel!

  16. I'm having a pity party! Wanna join??? I called my doc last Friday to see if they had received my preop labs yet, the final phase prior to scheduling my sleeve. They hadn't received them yet so the nurse called the hospital where the labs were drawn. The lab had been "sitting on them", even though the fax number was clearly circled in red at the top of the page--good thing I called! It really upsets me because I could have actually had surgery last week. Now, I have to wait until, at least, next week because my doc is "not available" this week. I just need a little encouragement, well wishes, a shoulder to cry on.....

    Scared husband

I'm just assuming here, but I think you and your significant others might be quite a bit younger than I am. This is probably the difference between us. I've been married to my husband for almost 40 years. He's been with me through thick and thin...literally!!! I am a revised lap-band, so we've been through all the highs and lows, so to speak. Even when I was at my biggest, 220+, and depressed and refused to go out in public, all he would do was beg me to go out. He never once said a word when I was big and was tickled pink when I was small. No jealousy, no mistrust!!! I feel for you guys! Hopefully, as time goes on, things will get better for you. It's hard enough to go through all the changes your body is going through right now without added pressure from the person you love most! Good luck to you all and just keep reminding yourself that this is the best thing for YOU!!!

    Scared husband

@@heav85 - I'm excited for you...all of us!!! This is a great time for you to do this, with a 2 year old. It will be fun for your whole family! Hopefully, your husband will get over his insecurities and move on to a better life with his little family! I get what he's been through, but like I said, trust issues!! He married you for a reason. He needs to remember that! Good luck to you and your family!!!

    No drinking with meals

I'm only out a couple of weeks, but I just had a thought. I'm from south Louisiana, where the majority of the food is spicy. My favorite food is hot, spicy crawfish!!! How on earth do you eat spicy food and NOT drink??? Oh, I'm soooo screwed!!!
