  1. Hi Steve, I wish you the best for your surgery! I'm nervous too, my date is in a month. But I know you have, as well as I, have thought about this and know it is the right choice! I wonder about your time off from work. One week really seems too soon. My doc says he allows up to 8 weeks (though I don't I'll need that much). But I am not allowed to drive for 2 weeks and can't lift anything over 15 pounds for 4 more weeks. You don't want to disturb/pull the staples and cause a leak. Really bad if that happens. elise
