  1. I started drinking coffee about 6 weeks out. I only drink about half of what I used to drink most days. Plus It helps with the constipation issues!
  2. My co worker and I had same Dr same same boughs size she's 5'7 and I'm 5'0 she had way more swelling than I had and a lot more problem getting her liquids in and also eating when she first started eating. So in theory since Shes taller than me u would think alittle bigger stomach??? I have had much less swelling and problems. I could drink real easy from the get go.she had surg 2 weeks before me. She's lost 54 and I've lost 47. So in the long run it seems to all pan out.
  3. Same here Angela. Was 205 now 157 surg. was 2-6. I started exercising 5-29 and halted weight loss til just the past 2 weeks finally losing again!
  4. I have bees waiting forever it seems to be below 150 thought I'd be there by now! But I had about a 6 or 7 week stall when I started exercising. Now finally I'm down to 157 SOOI close!
  5. ANYTHING up tempo by 50 cent, Nelly, or the Black Eyed Peas, and You Dropped a Bomb on Me by the Gap Band rap keeps me motivated and I have a few random songs mixed in like Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves LOL
  6. It's a girl THANG! lol but really .... I do notice that also but I try not to dwell on it, and look at it that way . He loved me no matter what but I'm sure like me, he's happier now that I've lost quite a bit.
  7. I'm exactly like you, losing real slow. Guess it's the luck of us low BMI ppl but as long as it keeps going down it's all good! I had 70-75 to lose, have lost 47 so far. Just like the little train, I THINK I CAN!!! LOL
  8. I have read that what ever you were before you gained weight is about what you will be left with after you lose the weight....so like me I was a 34 c before then was 38d at heaviest... I probably will go down to 34 c although I"M SURE they will not be as perky and nice as when I was 20!!!
  9. Thanks.! So close but yet so far away lol. And yes I take biotin twice a day. But I should try some nioxn or something!!!
  10. Ahhh 14 would be awesome! I just started losing again like 2 days ago so we shall see. At least I'm not the only one with this LONG AZZZ stall!
  11. I'm feeling good. Other than my hair is falling out quite a bit the past month and I was stalled for about 6 weeks. Finally down about 1.5 this week. I started exercising 5-29 and basically stopped losing til now. I do feel stronger and look firmer already so that's a plus even though I'd like to be down about 10 more pounds this far out. I want to get to 130-135 and I will be happy with that anything less is a bonus. For my height 5'0" I really dont want to go below 125 bc i dont want to be super small I'm at 158 right now. My joints and back and legs feel alot better too Sometimes goal seems soooo far away but I think it will happen even if it's slower than I'd like. I would do it all again! This has been a great experience for me!
  12. I'm almost 5 months, and I made myself sick (literally!) eating watermelon the other day. You think "O it's mostly water any how, not gonna hurt anything!" WRONG it was sooooo good and juicy I ate alittle too much... next thing I know up it comes. Yes in moderation it's all good but don't be fooled by the ease it goes down since it is still fiberous it can come back to haunt you!
  13. If you read alot of the low BMT ppl's post on here you will see that almost everyone who has less than #100 to lose will lose slower and have alot of stalls. I want to lose #70-#75 and have lost #45 in alittle less than 5 months....but I have been at a stall for a month now, ever since I started exercising!!! My clothes are looser, but the scale is EXACTLY the samee...so there are times when It's so frustrating but just keep your eye on the proze and the end goal will come, no matter how long it may take!
  14. I also sweat more since having kids, youngest is 17.5, but now since losing 45 I do sweat less, and I'm soooo glad!!!
  15. Same here! 4.5 mo out haven't lost a thing in 4 weeks BUT hair but it will pass. We KNOW this but still frustrating as hell!!!
  16. Been stalled for about 1 month 45 gone 25-30 to go. I started exercising a month ago so I guess the fat v. Muscle war is ON! Lol. I think I have lost inches so I know it all balances out in the end but still aggravating at times!
  17. Cheri! this quote from you sounds like me RIGHT NOW ..... "Six months out I was sure it wasn't going to work. I had the hardest time right about then with a nine week stall and I could only barely hang under 200 pounds. I was terribly frustrated and felt like everyone was losing faster than I was (not true at all) and I was considering revising my goal to a higher number." I'll be 5 months on July 6th and have been stalled for about a month now. I did start to exercise, that's when the stall happened soooo ya I needed to hear this right now. I have some shorts I wore the 1st time on Memorial wk end and I think they are looser now...but still would be NICE for the scale to move!!! I have about 30 more to lose...25 for sure! ahhhgrrrggg it's aggravating for sure but I have hope and faith that IT WILL COME OFF not matter how long it takes LOL Pateince is a virtue I don't really have LOL
  18. I feel ya. I started exercising consistently about 4 weeks ago and I have stayed the same weight for 4 weeks now! I feel firmer and a pair of shorts I wore memorial wk end are loser now BUT it is annoying and scary to not see the scale move at all! This will pass I'm sure ! NOT soon enuf tho
  19. Must be in the air ! I've been the same for almost a month too. Was 205 now 160 but I did start exercising so maybe my body's in SHOCK! Lol
  20. I guess I'm never gonna get to 155 at the rate I'm going. LOL. STILL hovering around 160 I have alittle while longer. I think I'll be solidly below 160 by July 4 though. I started exercising consistently 2,5 weeks ago so maybe my body's in SHOCK!! Haha
  21. tHIS IS THE LINK AND IF THAT DOESN'T WORK HERE IS MOST OF WHAT SHE SADI BUT THERE IS A FEW OTHER POST ALSO http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/4968-when-you-are-back-to-eating-normal-food/ I'm almost 11 months out, and this is what I ate yesterday. It was a crazy carb day, and I grazed quite a bit. A lot of my carbs come from the fruit juice and Fruit Loops, potatoes with dinner and yogurt/fruit I ate for Breakfast. I do not eat like this every day. I actually keep my carbs around 80grams per day now. But, yesterday, I wanted fruit, and Cereal for some odd reason. Breakfast - 1-6oz Chobani strawberry Yogurt, 3 large fresh strawberries Snack - 3oz of teriyaki beef Jerky, 3 saltine crackers, 1- 2% extra sharp cheddar wedge lunch - 1/2 peanut butter/honey sandwich on whole wheat bread (no crust), 10-12 tortilla chips with sour cream/salsa dip Snack - 6 iced circus animal crackers Dinner - 2oz of steak, 1/4 cup of steamed green Beans, 1/4 cup of pan seared new potatoes Snack - 1 cup of fruit loops cereal with 1/2 cup 1% milk Calories - 1387 Carbs - 226 Protein - 84 Fat - 36 I got in about 50 ounces of Water, 8oz of the the grape juice, and 8oz of coffee. I eat out 2-4 times per week. Thai places - chicken Satay skewers with dipping sauce and I can at 2 skewers. Chili's - my son and I share a half rack of ribs, I can eat 2 of the ribs, and a few bites of the various side dishes, we also share the Cajun Chicken Pasta entree (yummy chicken alfredo with penne pasta and grilled cajun flavored chicken breast)I also order the 1/2 order of nachos from the appetizer menu, I can eat about 3 of them with salsa and sour cream, I order and split the Quesadilla Explosion salad with the kiddo. Mexican food - my son and I order beef and chicken fajitas for 1, I can eat 1 fajita with 2-3 strips of meat, loads of sauteed onions, sour cream, salsa and a little bit of rice. I do eat some chips and salsa before my meal. I may have a few bites of the refried beans, but I like to save room for the actual fajita. Taco Bell - Steak quesadilla with extra sauce. I can eat 2 of the 4 wedges, but I pull off the top of the tortilla. I wait about 3 hours and eat the other 2 wedges later. Or, I order a bean burrito with extra red sauce and sour cream, and peel off the extra tortilla that doesn't have any filling. TGI Friday's - I order the appetizer course of Pot stickers/chinese dumplings, and I can eat 3 of them, the inside mainly, and the outside shell of 1.5 of them with dipping sauce. Logan's steak house - my son and I split an 8oz ribeye and a few bites of the side dishes typically rice or loaded mashed potatoes with a green veggie. I typically eat a few chips with their spinach/artichoke dip before our meal. Mongolian BarBque - I eat the thick egg noodles, with cabbage, snap peas, pineapple, bean sprouts, and chicken or beef. Covered in Mongolian and Teriyaki sauce, and minced garlic. Typically, the meat gets over cooked on the grill, so I stick to the noodles and veggies/fruit. Chinese buffet - Spring roll (1 with the outer shell peeled off), peanut chicken, beef broccoli, General Tso chicken, fried rice, low mein noodles, and pot stickers again. IHOP- sirloin steak tips with broccoli Wendy's - baked potato with cheese/broccoli, small chili with crackers Panera Bread - The asian fruit side salad (it has apples), broccoli/cheddar Soup, 1/2 tuna salad sandwich with chips. Obviously, I eat a very small portion of all of these, but it gives you an idea of what I order and eat. Yes, I bring lots of leftovers home, but I make the meals last for at least 2 other meals/lunches, or even Snacks. I rarely order off the kid's or senior menu. I know people find it hard to believe but I literally eat anything and everything I want just in small quantities.
  22. Really made me feel ALOT better! It was from April of 2010 when you were 11 months out and someone asked what and how much you can/should eat after 6 months out and you went into alot of details of what and how much you can eat and where and what you eat when you go out to eat. It WAS SO HELPFUL! I'm glad I came across that post. I'm alittle over 4 mo out and sometimes it feels like I can eat TOO much, but in reality it's 1/4 of what I used to could eat i'm sure or atleast 1/3. Reading your post made me realize I'm doing OK, esp since you have done SO GREAT! I guess the old thoughts of ...ok I've lost X now I'm going to gain it ALL back AGAIN! are hard to get out our old fat brains! I have lost 45 and have about 30 to go... soooo it's just encouraging to hear real ppl stories ...THANKS!!!
  23. Me too! Glad to see I'm on track with other shorties! I have about 30 more to lose ... How about u?
