  4. HI everyone...just a quick question..were you able to pick a surgery date or did they pretty much tell you the date you could have it on? the reason I am asking is because my bariatric coordinator said I can be prepared to have my surgery like the first part of May given the approval time period...My family wants to come from Georgia to be with me here in Texas and my mom said it would work out better if I could do it the first part of June;.due to siblings getting out of school at the end of May and one graduating from a program she is enrolled in... so i say all that to ask...can I pick my own surgery date? lol i kno some of you would be like 'the sooner the better' but my family really wants to be there and I dont have any family close by me that could be there for support or to help afterwards...

  11. I know i have a while before i get my approval and surgery date but I am the type of person who likes to have an idea of how much i may need to pay WAY ahead of time. I have cigna and its 90/10. So i know i will pay 10% until i reach my out of pocket maximum of 2000 (after my 300 deductible of course) so is it safe to say that all i really need to know is that im guaranteed to pay at most 2000? since thats what my insurance benefits are? thanks for you help
  12. thats so great! definitely ask if your pcp diet will count towards it! at first i only told my boyfriend, family and best friend but i told myself that everyone i know knows im overweight so why not tell them how im going to get rid of it its all a matter of preference and some prefer to keep it to themselves and i completely understand. besides this is for you and your health i havent met with the heart doctor yet but im calling my bariatric coordinator to see if thats next..the psychological eval was a breeze..in and out in less than an hour lol but i personally think i want to regularly see her so that i can get some issues of my chest and see if there was an underlying issue behind it all ya know.. anyway enough about me! LOL good luck to you and your best friend too! its always great to have someone close go thru it with you
  13.
