  2. Either way, you are doing it. The sleeve is a tool, but you are the real reason it's working. Don't dwell on this too much.

  4. My co-workers love to make fun that my clothes (mostly my pants) are ill fitting. I stick to dresses and skirts, but it's cold outside! I miss my ill fitting pants. I hope they encourage you and keep you on track, if not you have all of us!
  5. I definitely had this feeling when it came to my husband's surgery. I wanted him to hurry up and have it because I was tired of watching him eat all the wrong things and mass quantities of them. I wanted the surgery more for him. I knew I needed it, and I was ready. I think this feeling is just that. You're ready for the surgery. As for keeping yourself busy before, I love your list of things to do. The gym has been my favorite place to take care of myself post op and pre op. Before surgery that was the one last thing I wanted, that one last good workout before being sliced. It carried me through, but man, I'm back at it and going strong. Best of luck to you on your journey!

I have good days and bad days. I like to push it to the limit when I work out and I'm only 1 month out. If I push it a couple days in a row, that third day I'm exhausted. I went to bed one night this week at 6pm. My body needed the rest. I don't know if B-Vitamins are in your regime, but they really do help me with energy. I probably take 500-2000 mg throughout the day. You don't say what you're eating, but I eat mostly protein and that seems to sustain me/give me enough energy for my workouts of cardio/strength training. I hope this helps!
  7. You're almost on the other side! Best of luck. Best advice I can provide is to walk as much as possible. It really did help get things moving, ease that gas pain, etc.Looking forward to your after!
  8. So close! Yay! I'd advise that you start the vitamins if you haven't already. The B-12 will help with energy/alertness.
  9. Yay! Good luck and catch you on the other side!

  11. I'm with you on earning every pound post op. I love working out now. I've started ab work but I listen to my body, if it hurts I stop. I usually only do 50-60 crunches 2x a week. My legs have been shrinking dramatically so its everything I can do to keep them. I want to be tone too, not jiggly. I've started strength training, nothing too crazy, but I love moving weight. Congrats on all your progress!
  12. I'm thinking this is more mind hunger than body hunger. It's a big change. I never feel hungry. My stomach never growls. Often I only eat once per day. I would focus on the fluid intake and this should get you over that hump.

The only time I feel sick is when I eat solids too fast. I too had surgery 12/27, so we're surgeversary buddies. The other day I was eating deli meat/cheese and it was right after a workout. I was starving. I ate too fast then felt nauseous. Yep, I lost my food. I've since learned to eat slower and this has helped me keep them down. What solids are you trying to consume?
  14. Some days I only eat once a day. I'm just never hungry. On the days I work out, I'm sure to eat more, but I'm nowhere near 1k calories per day. You don't mention if you're working out, but my consistent workouts have led to consistent weight loss. I do cardio/strength training 3x a week.
  15. Very exciting times ahead. I'm on the other side and things do get easier. Be sure to take those vitamins and get moving as soon as you can. I walked all night the night of my surgery. As for the liquid diet, try to mix it up and do just a cup of broth. It breaks up the taste buds so delightfully. My doctor allowed for one protein bar instead of a shake each day and that helped to. I missed chewing. I wish you the best of luck on your journey!

I remember that wait. As far as physical preparation, start moving. The better in shape you are physically prior to surgery, the better. You'll need to walk soon after surgery and the stronger your core muscles are the better. You'll need those to get in and out of bed. I'm a bit of a work-out nut and I love moving weight and feeling that burn. I don't want to be jiggly and that has helped me keep losing weight post surgery. As far as mental preparation, be prepared to never feel hungry again. My stomach never growls. I no longer feel controlled by my hunger. It's a very powerful feeling. Food is no longer my enemy, its fuel. The sleeve isn't an easy way out, it's a tool. It allows you to focus on more than your hunger. It's allowed me to eat better, move more, feel better. I wish you the best of luck on your journey
