  1. I had glue also, and it took along time to fall off.
  2. Lola, you are not alone. I was sleeved 11/28/11 I thought that for a while too, (why did I do this) and my boss did my surgery. I had troubles with the dizziness, nauseous, some vomiting, and diarrhea (that I still have). But I am trying to eat every couple of hours and now I am able to tell when the stomach is full. I am still struggling so bad with reflux, we are trying a new med now. So will see how that works out. I was off work for 2 weeks, it was tiring but I made it thru going back, being back with the people I work with was the best because they support me. You to will get better, take each day at a time. Get thru that one and go to the next. I definitely agree some nausea meds helps tremondously. So get that. Your surgeon will order labs if they are worried. I had my labs drawn because of the diarrhea and I do not get all my Protein in either. But everything is perfect. Just want you to know you are not alone. Hang in there. Laura
  3. I do not use a CPAP either. So hopefully time will help. I know my husband did this alot when he had his surgery, but it got better with time. It is embarassaing sometimes. It comes from nowhere!!! Lets just hope it gets better. Laura
  4. Mary, I work for my surgeon who did my sleeve. Our office also does the band and have been doing them since 2003. I can not tell you how many of our patients we are switching from the band to the sleeve. They were all having a very slow weight loss and even with many adjustments. So if you have the chance and insurance will pay for it. Go For It. Good luck to you. Laura
  5. I had mine 11/28/11, still have it also. Alittle less than the beginning. My husband had the bypass awhile ago, he says it is because we take in air when we sip. I am with you it is annoying. I hope it gets better too. Laura
  6. It is so nice to hear that someday we can eat a salad. I too loved having a salad. Right now I can only take in 2 tsp of food at a time. I just keep saying we are only out 1 month. Hopefully it will get easier as time goes by. Laura
  7. I too am 1 month out and going thru the same thing. Nothing tastes good. And like you when I eat I can only take in 2-3 teaspoons, than I am so full I can not drink the 1/2 later because I get horrible relux. I sure hope this gets better. Dr. says it will. I had a good crying session last night because of the frustration. URR!!! Laura
  8. It may be the main incision they did the most work thru. Thats how it was for one of my incisions. Laura
  9. I am 4 weeks out an still have it every couple days. I guess when I start taking more food in it will get better, thats what my boss says (who is also my surgeon)!!
  10. I am 4 weeks out and have been riding a stationary bike and light weights since 1 week post op.
  11. It will get better, the first couple days is horrible. I am 8 days out and it does get better!!! Laura
  12. Britgal- Are you having trouble with diarrhea? What kind of diet are you doing and how much are you getting in, in a day? Laura
  13. Is this something that will go away eventually. Since surgery my stomach is gurgling non stop. I think it is mad at me for doing this surgery! Laura
  14. I also have been doing the G2 Gatorade. My stomach is gurgling non stop, even sipping all day. URRR!!
  15. I am 5 days out too. My stomach is doing the same thing, gurgling every time I put something in it. I think it hates me right now. I am having a real problem with diarrhea. I guess as they say liquid in liquid out!!! Urr. I am with you when will this all get better. Wishing you luck.. Laura
  16. Maybe I can get some pureed bananas down, my bosses did my surgery so yes I could call them, I am still getting in the gatorade, but Lissa I will try your banana idea, it can not hurt at this point. Thanks so much. I am not sure when I get to have cheese. But what I would give to have that right now......
  17. Cathy, Did you get diarrhea? I started in last night and than again today. I am 5 days out, had mine Monday after Thanksgiving. Thanks, Laura
  18. I am 5 days post op and last night started in with the diarrhea. I tried kaopectate, no luck, tried anti diarrhea pills no luck! Anyone have some suggestions. I know liquid in is liquid out but it is annoying. Laura
  19. I am 3 days post op and I get the same pain in the chest too. I think it is because we do not sip and it is still so swollen. I am exhausted, went for a walk today and came home and slept all afternoon. I am here if you would like to chat we are at the same point in this journey. Where did you have your surgery?
  20. Cathy, I had my surgery here in Toledo on Monday. I am very sore, and like you it is hard to get all the Protein in at this point. Are you sipping on a shake or what. I am just sipping all day on liquids. Any advise of how you are doing it would be great. I took a walk today and came home and slept all afternoon. It wore me out. Laura
  21. Thank you I am not nervous yet, we will see how I am in the am. I will get on here as soon as I can with an update.
  22. I can not believe how fast the day has come. Got the house all cleaned yesterday. I am so ready to start the JOURNEY, woohoo!!!
  23. Luv a bull, I am having my surgery on Monday November 28 by my boss Dr Timothy Duckett in Maumee Ohio. I have had my girls at work ask me if I would want Dr Lalor to do it instead, my answer to them is no because if something is going to happen it is going to happen, I have worked at my job for 25 years I trust him hole heartedly. One of my very good friends had hers done by Dr Lalor in Late July, she is down 52 lbs and doing great and you will do fine too. As far as time off Dr D has told me to take the full 2 weeks off it is time to put attention on ourselves during this journey, we are always doing things for our families and putting ourselves last this is the time for us. Good luck to you! This website is awesome, you will recieve lots of support from them when you need it. Laura
  24. Mine is being done on Monday, my bosses are doing it so yes I am nervous, but I also know I am in good hands, we are family! I have faith that it will all go well. Looking forward to the journey ahead. Laura
  25. I will get some powdered milk that would be alot better than this Protein, it is not good. Thanks
