Im on day 6 of my liquid diet and I bought Designer Whey Natural and I am about gagging each time I use it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I added it to Carnation instant and yuck!!!

I am having mine on Mon Nov 28 in Toledo Ohio.

Thanks everyone, I think I will do it on Friday when I start liquids. I drink caffeine free Diet Dr Pepper, so hopefully no headaches.!!! This is going to be the hardest part of the hole thing!!!

Well I am 18 days til surgery and everyday I keep telling myself this is the day I will quit drinking my Diet Dr Pepper and I dont. Has anyone else had this problem and when did you quit drinking it. I am not a coffee or tea drinker. I like flavored waters BUT Diet Dr Pepper is my downfall. :patriot: Happy Veterans Day everyone!!!

I am going to be starting my pre op diet next Friday and I am sure will feel the same as you. So from what I am seeing on here it is normal. Do not beat yourself up. Can you write it down for your husband how to make things so you do not have to do it. He needs to understand how hard it is for you. If not I think Lissa's idea to make a bunch and freeze sounds like a plan. Keep your chin up, You can do it. I know I will be asking the same next week. Good luck with your surgery!!!

Have to start using protein powder a couple times a day by drinking or adding to yogurt. Does anyone have any favorites? That can be purchased at a store not on line.

Just got the call today Approved. It was just submitted yesterday. Paramount is AWESOME! Surgery will be November 28. So excited. Is anyone else around that time for there surgery? Would love to find someone at the same stage as I am in the process. Laura

Thats how I feel too. Thats why I am having these tests done to make sure this will not make it worse.

I work for the surgeon that is hopefully going to be doing mine. I do have reflux, so next week I am having esophagram, ugi and gastric emptying scan to see how my stomach emptys. To see how bad my reflux is. Because my dr says that if it is too bad i should do the RNY, which I do not really want to do because he does not do that and I will have to go to someone else out of my office. So I am praying that my reflux is not too bad and just caused from eating to spicey and to fast and too much at a time. Laura

I am going thru the same thing. I have gerd also, next week I have to have esophagram, ugi, gastric emptying solids, to see how bad my reflux is. I take Omperzole 40 mg a day. So I am hoping these come back ok, I too do not really want to go RYN if I can help it. Has your dr done any testing on you yet. I work for the surgeon that is doing mine, so I am glad he is doing these tests first. Laura

i am in the process had my psych eval, have my letter of medical necessity. Now due to having reflux Dr is ordering esophagram, ugi and gastric emptying scan to make sure I will be a good canidate for the sleeve before we proceed with approval.. Surely praying for me to be able to go SLEEVE!!!!
