that sounds great, I am 51/2 weeks out and have only lost 17 pounds. Im really frustrated because I see how everyone is loosing tons of weight compare to me. I have not lost a pound for 31/2 weeks. Is there something wrong with me?
  5. Tomorrow I will be 1 month out and I'm down 17 lbs. I know it's going down slow, but I'm so happy that the scale it's finally moving after a week stall. 45 pounds to goal, I wonder how long that's going to take.
  6. I I was having the same problem, until I spoke with my kaiser's case carrier. She said that everything liquid accounts for your 64oz of fluids. She said to Have the protein first, once i got all of that in i can include the water and any other liquids you want. This has really saved me.
  7. I only feel itching in the incisions too, but I do feel tingling all over my body , mainly in the extremities. This happens when j go to bed at migt. I haven't been taking any vitamins and I will be two weeks out on Tuesday's. I KNOW, IM A BAD PATIENT. I read that vitamin deficiencies can cause tingling sensation. Today I went and bought my b12, calcium and vit D. Hopefully this will help. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS?
  8. Hang in there, tme will fly. I'm on my 11th and I feel almost 100% better.
  9. It's great to see that we are all (surgery sisters) recovering well. I'm Having a little trouble taking in all the fluids, but working on it. I have also lost about the same amount.
  10. Jan 24th at 9:40am - I'm also recovering at home and have lost 11 lbs.
  11. I totally get you Tenshi, I do not deal good with pain and it was a disaster. Well It is my 4 th day out today had a little bump on the road, but have now refocused on the thing I need for me to successful. I haven't lost any weight now, hope that's normal. I am sipping water throughout the day and having the isopure protein and kefrin yogurt. So far today: two ounces of protein, two of yogurt and four of water. Little steps I guess.
  12. OMG! I'm so close to the day. Will be at the hospital at 5:30am tomorrow. The anesthesiologist will check and determined if I can go under with this cold and cough. Hoping for a miracle!
  13. How exciting! Two days for me and still battling with a cough. Good luck!
  14. My surgery is at 9:30am, I must check in at 6am. I'm very excited, no cold feet yet. I just hope I get rid of this cold by Tuesday. STAY POSITIVE!
  15. Yes! I'm getting sleeved on the 24th. How exciting, we can follow each others progress.
  16. I'm so excited! I thought this day will never come. I have to get my pre-op labs on Monday the 16th and will be ready for my surgery on the 24th. For the first time I am certain that my new years resolution will finally resolve this year. Yeah!
  17. I have an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow, so I should find out when my surgery date is. Hopefully within the next two weeks. So excited! I have been on the protein shakes for about three months now. They recommended them at the kaiser options program. they say its good to build up on your protein reserve. I take the Premier, they have 30 grams of protein and low on sugar. I love the vanilla flavored ones. I am so happy to have joined this support group. It is a great place to find the support I need and to share my feeling if I like. People here understand my excitement and nervousness as opposed to people around me who might not really like to hear about the whole surgery or anything to do with it.
  18. Congratulations on your journey! I can't wait to play with my kids without getting exausted. I will be sleeve around mid January. Im so excited too! Good luck on your journey, best wishes!
  19. Hello Sleevers, I finished my Kaiser Options program last week (12/19/11). Today (12/28), I received a call from Fountain Valley Hospital. They said that they got the referral and have everything ready to go, that I must register online, which I did and wait for a call to schedule for a class with them. I am so excited! I hope they call me to schedule really soon. I drove over to visit the hospital today, just to see and get a feeling about the place. Of course, its nothing like a kaiser facility. I expected a huge multi level hospital, as I am use to with Kaiser, but I am yet to meet with the surgeon and see how that goes. can any of you share your experience if you have been sleeved by Fountain Valley Hospital.
  20. I am waiting for the Dr.'s approval, everything looks good so I am expecting a call after January the second. I should be having the surgerly before the end of the month, but don't have an exact date yet. I am really excited and nervous about the whole thing...looking into Fountain Valley hospital in california. I still need to choose my surgeon.
  21. Wow! You look amazing, you should take a full body shot to compare as you continue to lose. I can't wait to have mine.
  22. Hello, Im new to this website. I thought, maybe I had joined in too soon, since I wont't have my surgery until around February 2012 as well. I'am glad I'm not the only one. I am having the wls by kaiser permanente, or actually the Dr. they refer me to. Next Monday I am starting the first of 12 weekly classes which are suppose to educate me about the wls. I will not get to see the surgeon until I am done with these classes at the end of December, so Im hoping the surgeon approves the VSG over the gastric bypass. I simply wont do the bypass, i think its too risky for me, for I'm concern about the Vitamin malabsorbtion, since I already tend to have vitamin deficiencies. I am really exited about this journey, I have read amazing stories of success which keep me motivated and focused on my ultimate goal. I can't wait to have my sleeve and to share my success with everyone here. I too wish every one the best of luck and a successful journey.
  23. OMG! This is exactly what I was thinking about. I have three sons, 16 yrs, 12yrs and 17months old. I have tons of pictures with my first and middle child, but I have not dared to take any with the baby. I avoid taking pictures with him becuse I dislike the way I look. Yet, i know that time is passing by and that he is growing up and i am missing out on creating memories with mommy on print. AnywayS, I CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE PICTURES WITH MY KIDS AND HUSBAND
  24. Hello, I'm new to the site too. I will start my options program on 10/03/11. I have not researched a surgeon yet. I am going to the Anaheim options program and I heard that they use the PB an fountain Valley hospital. Is anyone familiar with Fountain Valley? By the way, I'm very excited about this journey!
