  1. Hello All, So I just joined the site today. I kept coming across it while I was binging about slow weight loss and the gastric sleeve. I tend to keep comparing myself to my mom who had the gastric bypass surgery and lost her weight seemingly faster. The scale plays tricks on me. I try to weigh myself once a week, using the same scale, and one week I'll "gain" a pound and then the next I'll lose 5. After the first month, I've been losing about 10lbs a month steadily. I'm 3 months out exactly right now. Seeing that other people are dealing with these issues and it's not me who's screwing up makes me feel a whole lot better. I'm hoping that my the new year I will be under 200lbs and one year out (May) I'll be at my goal weight of 140lbs. Thanks! Surgery Date: 5/25/2011 Height: 5'5" - HW: 280/ SW: 270/ CW: 233/ GW: 140
