  1. I am going to a seminar with Dr Fox on Friday! I have been making a list of all the questions I want to ask. It is getting quite long. nbjen-- What made you decide to go with him?
  2. Wow, that is quite a miscommunication! There is a big difference between 3 and over a hundred. The lady I talked to said that she was his first. She must have ment in Spokane. Thanks for the info. I am still looking for more info in Dr Fox in Tacoma/Richland. He is the closest to me with an office in Richland. I think it would be easier for follow-up.
  3. I live in Moses Lake. I called Dr. Pennings office, but I don't know if they will be able to work with my schedule. I am in nursing school and it just doesn't leave me a lot of time to drive clear to Post Falls for appointments. I want to get my crazy summer quarter over with before being banded. It would be great if I could get everything lined up by the end of May and then wait to get my surgery until the beginning of August. I am probably just living in a dream world, hoping that everything will go smoothly.
  4. Thanks for all of the advice. I have heard good things about the place in Everett, but they are not contracted with BCBS:( Has anyone heard about Dr Fox at the Surgical Weight Loss Clinic in Tacoma or Richland? I am in Moses Lake. Right in the middle of nowwhere, so I either have to go a few hours East or a few hours West. When I called Dr. Trotters office they said he had only done 3 lap bands! He sounded like a great guy, but I think I want someone who has more experience.
  5. I have been doing most of my research on different doctors in Washington. What can you tell me about Dr. Pennings? Does he use the floro to do fills? Has he done a lot of Lap-Bands?
  6. I am new here, and I am trying to find a good Doctor. Has anyone out there had the Lap band done in Tri-Cities or Spokane? I have been seeing commercials lately, but I don't really want to go to a doctor who has not done very many procedures. My insurance is BCBS and they WILL pay, but I have to go to someone who is contracted with them. Has anyone found a good doctor who is contracted?
  7. I have been browsing this site for over a year and I have finally decided that I am getting banded! I am a nursing student, so I have to wait until August for a break from school. My insurance says that they will pay, so I am looking for the right surgeon for me. If anyone has had a great experience here in Washington I would love to hear it. I live in Eastern Washington, but I would commute if I could find a good surgeon.
