  1. Can you start doing little walks ,like 30minutes walk during the week? I think walking is a great exercise . PX90 is a great program but requires a lot of effort. And I saw they even lift weight heavily ,push ups etc. Maybe you can start slowly walking because your knee.
  2. Welcome and what a inspirational story. Congrats on your sleeve and best of luck with your weight loss journey.
  3. I was diagnosed with PCOS 7 years ago . I am 4 months out and at 3 months out I was not longer insulin resistant ,no bad cramps when I get my period. So yeah pretty much my sleeve helped me a lot with PCOS,so far so good, Your periods will become normal after you weight loss most likely if you suffer from irregular ones . Good luck, you won't regret this surgery.
  4. Yes I am able to eat more and crave more things ( junk food as well ) around that time of the month and even a little gain is normal too. The good news is that everything should return to normal after is gone
  5. Great info,I am doing good with my weight training, but I just started so I haven't seen much of a change with the lose skin at 4 months out,due to my rapid weight loss Yoga is a great suggestion too and Pilates. Great info I will pin this!! I am sure it will help many folks on here.

  8. Osteoporosis is more common for the RNY, I don't think is common with the sleeve. Plus we are required to take calcium with Vitamin D for life
  9. I was feeling sore and with some chest pressure due to the gas,but I was fine. I compared my surgery with my emergency c section in 2009 and I will take 10 VSG's over a c section for sure lol. I was walking the same day that I had surgery. You will be fine,It gets better for sure with the days

  17. Well people I used to weight myself everyday 3-4 times a day and YES now I think that doing something like is crazy and is not going to help me emotionally ,with all my respect to those who do it,I was driving myself crazy. My scale broke and my husband fixed it but I told him to hide it where I can't see it and guess what? Since I am not weighting daily,I am feeling much better and stress free. This does not mean that I won't check my weight. I keep working out 6 times a week and trying my best to make better choices as far as eating The scale only says a number,it's all about how you feel, you know you will do good if you exercise properly and eat clean.
  18. I chew gum SF very often, just be careful, you will be fine. Are you on your pre op liquid diet or post op?

  21. I could not agree more with you Pdxman, they are a great snack pre runs
  22. I been eating nuts since 2 months post op and I chew them well,so far is the only thing that has been working for my constipation YES I make my own trail mix with almonds and organic raisins and I eat 1/4 cup a day and it gives the energy I need to go for runs, walks or the gym =) Not everybody tolerates them well after surgery. Almonds are my favorites. I do a little peanut butter as well here and there but I limited myself to the serving size 2 tsp. They are a great source of protein and healthy fats as well as fiber but is small quantities ,for what I read,is also good to gain a couple pounds if you eat a lot. I love me some nuts lol
