I Had My Sleeve Done December 15Th 2011 Im 3 Months Post-Op Is Anyone Else 3 Mo Post-Op If So How Are You Doing?
Hey Lucky Lady! You are doing great! I had surgery a day after you on the 16th of Dec. and I've lost 41lbs. I know it's a little compared to most but its a lot in my world! I to had a fear of stretching out my sleeve but now I'm a lot more secure that what I eat and how much I eat is okay. If you follow your Dr.'s guide lines you should'nt worry too much. Good luck and keep up the great work!

Help :(
Try not to worry. I had the same problem with my water intake. It was either one or the other but hard to do both. But as time has passed I've gotten better at getting it all in. As for the stall. No worries most of us went through the "3 week stall". It sucks because it really messes with your mind but try not to worry too much. In time it will get better. Good luck!

Women Who Weighed 280-260: How Much Did You Lose In...
It hasn't been 6 months for me yet but I would say I am a slow loser. About 10Lbs a month sound like my situation. Hope you have a quicker weight loss!

Elliptical Vrs. Treadmill Question?
I've always thought the same thing. I can go twice as long on the elliptical than on the treadmill. As a matter of fact I just recently started forcing myself to jog on the treadmill (doing couch to 5k) and am learning to like it. I think I'm going to try what Liliana said and switch back and forth between the two.

Anyone Disappointed In The Amount Of Weight Lost? Wish It Was More?
I know how you feel. I'm also a slow loser. But I just try to remember that I was gaining the same amount every month. It might be slow but at least I'm losing. =)

Only Sleeve In A Gastric Bypass Support Group Meeting ...
Awh, that sucks! Maybe you can get off of work early one day. Other than that I doubt you could make it in time all the way from Pasadena. But if you ever need to chat feel free to hit me up. Maybe we can meet up for... water?! Since I don't drink anything else, lol!

Aaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh! 2Lbs A Week?! Really?!
Thanks everyone for letting me vent and for all the words of encouragement! I didn't get fat overnight and I won't get thin overnight either. I just need to keep focusing on small goals and I'll eventually get to that big goal without me noticing. From now on I will be proud to say :lost2lbs:

Aaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh! 2Lbs A Week?! Really?!
WARNING... :rant4: Let’s see I am 8 weeks out today. I was 272 the day of the surgery and today I am 244. I know I should be happy that I'm losing weight not matter how minimal. But it finally got to me today that in 8 weeks I've only lost 28lbs! (Oh and I gained 1.2lbs this week!) I say ONLY because I've been going to the gym and eating what I'm supposed to, being good! I am so freakin sore from the gym! I knew I was going to be a slow loser because of my PCOS but I'm so afraid I won't ever hit my goal weight at this rate. I know that weight loss starts to slow down as time goes on. But what does that mean for someone like me that started off losing an average of 2lbs a week? I also know that weight alone isn't the best way to gage weight loss. Sometimes clothes fit better and weight stays the same. Well... that's not my case! (At least not enough to go down a pants size) I guess the upside would be that I'm not getting depressed and stuffing my face. Instead I'm getting pissed and need to work it off at the gym. :boxing: Sorry about the rant, just needed to vent.

Some Questions From A Newbie
First off let me say "18lbs. in a week?! WOW!!" That's amazing! Now as far as the vegetarian food. I'm affraid I'm of no help since meat is what I was craving the most after surgery. Sorry, but best of luck. Keep up the good work!

Question About "couch To 5K" Training Plan
So I saw that a lot of people rave about how much they like the "Couch to 5K" training plan. So I decided I would try it out. But I do have some questions. Are you only aloud to do the cardio for that day? Can you still work your legs out on the machines? I really want to run a 5K in April and I want to give myself the best shot possible. Any sugestions?

I Wish Someone Had Told Me....
For me it had to be the mood swings! I had never been much of a girlie girl but after the surgery I noticed I was the cliché defenition of a girl! I think I even used the phrase "It's not what you said, it's how you said it!!!" LOL!! On one of my follow up doctors app I was informed that women store hormones in fat cells and when we begin to lose weight they are released!! Thanks for the heads up Doc!! :twitch:

Happy Shock!

Need Some Advice.
First off let me say congratulations on your weight loss! You should be very proud of your accomplishment! Second, sorry to see that your hard work has not always been met with a positive outcome. I am a little over 6 weeks out so I can't speak to your exact situation. But my husband and I have tried to plan ahead. We have made a pact that at any time during this journey if either one of us had issues (example: felt neglected, left out, jealous or personality changes in one another) we could ask to go to counseling without fear of NEGATIVE REPERCUSSIONS. We won't argue just go (and then argue there, lol). We knew that many relationships are strained during this process and that we might not be seeing things in the same context as before. We all have insecurities and we all deal with them differently. I just know that for the hubby and I it helps when we have a third party person who is neutral hearing both sides and helping us walk in each other’s shoes. I never really wanted to go to counseling. I always thought that I could handle things on my own. But after going and really trying I found it to make a world of difference. Give it a chance. You'll be surprised at what you find out about yourself and your spouse. Good luck!

How Much Did You Lose In Month 1
Wow 36lbs. the first month?! That is awesome!! I was all proud of myself for losing 20lbs my first month. Specially since without the surgery it took me 3 months of 5 times a week at the gym (3hrs every time) and a very strict eating plan just to lose 20lbs! Keep up the great work I have no doubt you can hit your goal!!
