apple-saucy got a reaction from KingKev_VSG in When can we stop sipping?
You have no idea how much your post just made me feel better. And this isn't even my thread! I am a heavy consumer of h20 but I used to drink it 16oz at a time every couple of hours (getting in 140-180oz per day easy) and this swallow wait swallow wait nonsense is annoying me!

apple-saucy got a reaction from Mskitty122072 in 5 potato chips please
So technically I still have 6 hours until I'm cleared for normal solid foods. But I kinda figured that 6 hours really wasn't going to make or break me.
I had to go to the grocery store because apparently I suddenly have a pre-teen boy in the house with a hollow leg (all 72lbs of him ate 1/2 a loaf of bread, 4 hot dogs, and the last of the Peanut Butter since he got home from school and I'm going to have TWO teen boys at the same time!!!!)
Anyway so I'm at the store, and I impulse purchased a 33cent lunch box bag of sour cream and chive potato chips. Don't ask me why...it was an impulse. I LOVE sour cream and chive chips...especially if they are dipped in ketchup MMmmMM So I got to the car opened the bag and ate the first one. Meh it was okay ate the 2nd, hmmm these aren't as tasty as I remember 3rd nope not getting any better...4th and 5th were just to make sure And then I felt it.....I felt FULL. After 5 chips...and not huge ones either, I was full.
So....my tastes really did change. And 5 chips are all I need/want. I won't be purchasing them again, totally not worth my $$

FWIW We don't have a pouch, nor do we have a stoma. We have a fully functioning teeny tiny stomach. So the article above regarding stretching of the pouch and stoma would not apply to us.
And honestly the bubbles would not at all have the strength to stretch anything...we'd burp before that happened.

Ok maybe it's my wildly fluctuating hormones....but that seemed like a bit of a snarky response, to a pretty innocent comment/opinion.

FWIW. I wasn't arguing. :angelsad2: Just wanted to point out that we don't have a pouch or a stoma so that article isn't accurate for us. :shrug We have our pyloric valve to regulate our digestion and gasses will rise up in the form of burps. That's all I was saying.

apple-saucy got a reaction from Ruby in I Ran with my son
Yesterday was the 5th annual Autism Awareness Walk. It's 2.5 miles of walking on a trail and city streets. Last year I barely made it. This year I RAN part of the way with my 7yr old Autistic son. It took us about 45 minutes, but we finished and I still had energy to go pick apples after the walk.

apple-saucy got a reaction from Ruby in I'm wearing my husband's pajama's
It was cold last night and my winter Pj's don't fit. So on a whim I decided to try on some flannel pj pants and t-shirt from my hubby's drawer.
They FIT! and they are a size XL

apple-saucy got a reaction from LilMissDiva Irene in i made a really bad food choice tonight
I once ate a 350 calorie cookie....yep...350 calories of delicious buttery shortbready goodness. and I felt guilty and horrible and like I had failed....and then I remembered...Normal people don't beat themselves up over a cookie. NORMAL people with a Healthy food relationship would just eat the damn cookie enjoy it and move on with their lives.

apple-saucy got a reaction from Sleevie WonderLand in The Easy Way Out
I had one person say that to me.
I responded with "Would you tell a woman who had to have a c-section that she took the easy way out? No...because it would be rude and insensitive. Just like your comment was to me"

You look fantastic! Can I ask a question? Why do you wear the head wrap? Is it because of the hairloss?
