Cold Water hurt... but just water not other cold liquids. Warm liquids are heaven! I can fit more warm liquids than cold.

I'm a 30 yr old mom of 2 amazing angels (heh, while they're asleep, anyway ) they're 4 & 5 with enviable energy. I live in NYC aka the land of never ending Subway stairs and I'm DONE with having that "I'm about to die" feeling every time I have to climb any one of those flights.
My oldest had been convinced I was having another baby (she made the connection from meeting prego parents of friends) and I think she's convinced her Kindergarten class that I am prego cuz every time I'm around her teacher goes out of her way to make sure I'm comfortable! (Hysterical, I know, but embarrassing just the same & I'm too ashamed to clear up the misunderstanding so I'm acting like I'm clueless! )
Still, the decision to have surgery happened years ago but due to a series of seemingly stupid, but surprisingly educational events it didn't happen sooner. My surgery date is June 24 and to say that I can hardly wait is the understatement of my LIFE!

I use the Premier Protein shakes. They have 30g of Protein and 160 cals, which it sounds like you would benefit from both right now. You can get them in a 4 pack so if you don't like them, it's not that horrible. I find mine at Meijer and Kroger.

Ok! So it's NOT just me! I feel the EXACT same way (like I have eaten a COW with just a couple bites of beans.... wondering WHYYYYYY they said we can have this at this stage if it makes our new little stomach's feel not so good(??)
Not sure about the smoothie, but someone did post that a frozen 1/2 a banana and the Premier chocolate shake blended up is pretty good! Think I'll try that today
Guess like in "Finding Nemo".... like Dory said we just have to "Just keep swimming, swimmiing, swimming..." lol

I got the Isopure "unflavored" and because the scoops are SOOOOO huge, I tried to put ONE scoop in some SF Sobe (oh God.... the thought of how nasty it was makes me want to throw up)..... so I have not gotten the Isopure in any other flavor (scared much....). I have spent soooo much $$ on the Proteins to "try them" that I am reticent to plunk down another $35-$40+ for one.....
I am praying that my "capacity" will open up a teensy bit more so that I can get ALL of my Protein from food eventually.... I dont see how I can do "shakes" everyday (even as a supplement) for the rest of my life becuase I abhor them so strongly!

So..... I am on day 18 post op, in the throes of the PUREE stage and feel like I am:
    1. always tired. Can't seem to get quite to 60-80g of Protein..... HAAAAAAATE ALL shakes and powders. They gag me.
    2. When I eat (let's say 1 egg with a sprinkle of cheese on them), it first of all..... takes me like 15-20 mins if I do not want to feel pain in my stomach (i can eat refried Beans, but ANY thing like that is sooooooooooooooooooooo heavy on my stomach and makes me feel terrible!!!
    3. Wondering if my ability to eat just a WEE bit more will ever come! ( i know I did this for a reason, but I am OVER only being able to eat Soup, broth, SF popsicles, shakes and diet liquids without feeling it feel like a BOULDER in my stomach after one or two bites!!!
4.And to top alllll this off.... i seemed to have stalled ..... grrrrr.....
    Just looking for your experiences with this stage, does it get better and am I really crazy??? :***- {

Let me just share with you what my surgeon just told me 30 minutes ago at my first post op appt. I have the same compliants as you... tired not able to choke down the Protein Shakes still having pain not getting enough Water. What he said was in his decades long career as a bariatric surgeon the patients who struggle the most initially end up being the greatest success stories. It gave me hope. I hope it does you too. Hang in there.

Well here is where I am. Over the last week or so I had been getting progressively weaker. As long as I was sitting or laying down I felt 100% fine. But if I stood up or tried to walk, I only had about 5 mins worth of effort in me. Annoying.
After multiple doctor visits and lab draws, he put me in the ER yesterday and ran a bunch of tests. The culprit was that my potassium was low. They gave me some potassium and I feel decidedly better today, the weakness is still there but better. So I guess I need to go get some Powerade or something with electrolytes in it.
On the plus side, I got to start my soft foods this week! Started with some Greek yogurt to help with the diarrhea. Then I had some refried Beans and cheese, supplemented with some unflavored Protein Powder. Delicious! Tonight I think it will be an egg and some cheese
Down about 14 pounds since surgery.

Some of the processed foods during mushies can be high in sodium. Usually you can flush out any related Fluid retention with extra Water. I was surprised at how high some of the things were in sodium when I started tracking on myfitnesspal.com

It's summer, it's hot and you are outside in it I would get extra Water in if you can, give it a week and I'm sure it will pass. I have fluctuated a few times, never more than a few pounds, but it does come back off.

I'm not due for my cycle, luckily. What I'm eating are mushies. pureed chicken, fish, turkey... Hummus, yogurt, Laughing Cow cheese wedges. All high Protein, low carb stuff that's on my nut list.... It seems no matter how much I get in it doesn't make a full 60g of protein and my Water intake could be better... ok way better...

You are right on time for the initial (third week on average) stall - here is a great article describing what's happening right now:
    http://www.dsfacts.com/weight-loss-stall-or-plateau.html
You will note in there that between the glycogen and the Water that keeps it in solution in our bodies that there is around ten pounds (eight from Water, ) in play from just this mechanism alone. Add to this other things that affect water retention such as TOM/hormones, changes in sodium intake or exercise/activity patterns and you have the making for a bumpy ride on the way down the scale. So, keep to your plan and enjoy the ride; just don't fret so much on daily (or even weekly) aberrations in scale weight.

Quit testing your limits. Seriously. It sounds, to me, like you're finding "excuses" to eat what you really shouldn't be eating. Subway sandwiches might *advertise* being healthy, but they're really NOT. Better to eat grilled chicken and some veggies than the processed stuff they call chicken. And the bread is pretty much just empty calories.
Think of it this way...if someone said "Hey, I can drink an entire milkshake...I'm so bummed that my sleeve isn't working any more!" What would you think? For the sleeve to be effective, you have to avoid "fluff" foods.
That said, even IF you're eating 6" subs, if that keeps you satisfied for 3-4 hrs (until next meal time), then it's probably FINE. The key is your overall calories/nutrition throughout the day.
I'm not trying to sound harsh and critical, but I AM trying to get you to take responsibility for your actions instead of "blaming" it on the sleeve. As I'm typing this, there's a pan of homemade brownies in my kitchen. And they're not the "from the box" homemade but true homemade. I could easily eat a brownie right now. I know some sleevers lose their taste for sweets and/or sweets make them nauseous. Not me!! So I could complain that the sleeve just isn't working that well for me, but in truth, it is what it is and *I* have to be the one to avoid the brownies.

If the weight is still coming off its good and if it helps u some take one of the breads off next time u have one
